I was also interested in how the lead male was a reclusive mute who had very little interaction with people. If you by some miracle haven't read this book yet, let me assure you that it is a worthy investment of your time, and may I humbly recommend the audiobook if you are of the listening variety? I am happy to report that Mia sold the screenplay so hopefully we’ll soon see this on the big screen. It’s a story of reaching out, stepping outside of your comfort zone, running away from one thing and finding something beautiful in the process. Bree soon starts to settles into her new life but after coming across the wild but beautiful man who is Archer, sets out to find out more about him and to understand why she is unexpectedly drawn to him.Note to self, don’t read a book on Release Date unless you are absolutely sure that you will love it. yes, i originally read it for the romance and swoon-worthy feels, but i walked away with so much more. But after reading Archer Hale’s story, I learned to value silence, everything happening in between words.

tho, the fact that there’s smut in the book is bugging me so hard, for me they’re such a soft couple so it really didn’t fit the vibe at all. She did an amazing job of telling us a story entailing a journey through healing, and finding solace in another person. I always feel bad when people recommend me a book, praise it to the moon and back, and I end up just finding it mediocre, at best.

There’s nothing wrong with either, and I find it ridiculous how things such as virginity determine someone’s worth. I found my heart in my throat multiple times, and was relived that it was emotional, but not so much that I couldn't function after the fact. Ironic coming from me, I know, but I felt like all the sex (except the first times that were kinda fitting for Archer's character - and yet, of course, he was a sex god with sex godly skills) spoiled the depth this story was trying to pass on to.
