This Velvet Lipstick is great for a matte colour and lasts for up to 24 hours, keeping your lips bursting with colour. These Rouge Velvet Inks claim to be a ‘tattoo-like liquid formula (which) remains lightweight and comfortable for 24 hours, leaving lips touchproof and transferproof. First, use the tip of the applicator to outline the contours of your lips, then use the surface of the applicator to fill in the colour. The second thing is that the lipstick really does not dry out the lips and it is quite long-lasting. In all other scenarios, where I would expect to one only once, or just drink consistently, or not consume anything at all, I would happily wear these Bourjois Velvet Inks just as often as I would my Maybelline Matte Inks.

They were the first brand to come up with a double-ended mascara (Coup de Théâtre) and loose pigment for eyes (Suivez Mon Regard).

I also found the curved shape of the lipstick tube to make application difficult on the edges of my lips. The brand also pays special attention to the design of product packaging, regularly issuing limited series of products in vintage packaging. But after about 15-20 minutes on the lips, it turns into a pleasant nude shade (warm coffee with milk). Bourjois presents itself as Chanel’s younger sister, and, unlike its older sibling, it is kind of obsessed with bright colours, offering more than 400 different shades of makeup products.
