About this deal
Overall, it has an impressive 890 Watts of power, a 12m ‘operating radius’ and an integrated floor-head that cleans both carpets and hard floors in one. Given it’s one of the most affordable cordless devices on the market - and that it’s so light - we think it is really great value for money. We also have to admit that the Beko doesn't have the bells and whistles of an upmarket Dyson (the V15 Detect Absolute literally has lasers), but it does have an expensive feel to it: it's got a certain no-nonsense, solid quality that we found reassuring, and the crystal-clear LCD screen accurately tells you how long you have left before the battery runs out. The Dyson V12 Detect Slim packages many of the Dyson V15 Detect's features into a smaller and lighter package, including its particle detection sensor and automatic power adjustment system. It also features a HEPA filter that's fairly effective in trapping allergens as you clean, though it's worth noting that emptying its dustbin can still release a cloud of dust and debris.
They come in all shapes and sizes, from traditional corded upright vacuums to “stick” or cordless vacuums, powerful cylinder vacuums, specially-designed vacuums for pet hair removal and even high-tech robot vacuums.Cordless stick designs are probably the most easily manoeuvred because of their thin, "stick" style body and smaller canister - though these smaller canisters will need to be emptied more regularly. On the highest power level, we would say it's as strong as the P11, although it doesn't have the mop option, which is best for those with wooden floorboards. It also does a good job of clearing away pet hair, though its brushroll has stiff bristles that collect a lot of pet hair.
Robot vacuums if we’re honest are still more of a novelty than a must-have, but this is the one to get, especially with the discounts currently available. However, it falls slightly short of higher-end corded models like the Miele Complete C3 and Dyson Ball Animal 3 in this regard. However, the Samsung vacuum lacks Dyson's automatic power adjustment feature, and its twin roller floorhead is bulkier, making it less maneuverable. It surprised us during testing with its huge amount of power, and the big roller head means you need to make far fewer passes.
After trying it out, Molly found it to be true that she didn't need to take her scissors to this floorhead, which was a big win.
