Graphic novels don’t usually last long enough to make for perfect holiday reading, but I’m determined to read this imminently forthcoming book while I’m away. as a new generation of listeners were discovering the poet/musician/protorapper's nearly two dozen albums, scott-heron emerged from a tumultuous decade marked by drugs and prison. Normally if I can't relate to or don't like the majority of the characters I struggle to get into the storyline but this was not a problem here, not only because there were a couple of likeable characters but because of the addictive and explosive storyline.
