About this deal

The optical design of this lens makes it resistant to strong incident light sources such as backlighting, and SIGMA's Super Multi-Layer Coating further reduces flare and ghosting. I am not saying there is something wrong with APS-C or MFT, but the market is heading towards FF and larger. Only on a few occasions in low-light did the lens show signs of hunting back and forth before it acquired focus on a close subject.

Well the Fuji ones are far more expensize, while Viltrox , while good have little brand recognition. In fact the only disappointment is an unremarkable closest focusing distance of 50cm which, while able to fill the frame with a face, a sandwich or a coffee cup, will struggle if you try to get closer still. Very reasonable to be used on a6500, and doesn't encounter severe vignetting as on FF body, but I still prefer the FoV of my Sigma 19/2. I believe the Sigma method involves a production line making most of the lens (for whatever fitting), and then a smaller tailored line for the rear section, electronic assemblies and mount. brownie314 in one of the interviews Sigma stated, that they still heavily rely on EF mount lenses as their biggest seller, followed by E-mount.Most UWA zooms were far pricier before those two and have been far pricier since, even 3rd party stuff, the only other exception is the EF-M one. DC DN lens for Fujifilm X-mount is constructed of ten elements in six groups, including one super low-dispersion (SLD) element and one aspherical elements. But when I use my fuji X-Pro2 it's all about the experience of taking photos and the manual controls, being able to set all my settings before even turning on the camera.

When you're the only game in town it's easy to maintain high margins, but now they're not alone and that will have an impact. However, since we have no hard data, any predictions on the evolution of the X-mount userbase are only speculations. I think it’s wonderful that Sigma is making lenses for Fujifilm, but they should be filling in gaps instead of trying to compete. is a good lens, I wouldn’t rave about it as much as the rest of the internet but it is good enough for me at the moment. We use Imatest SFR (spatial frequency response) charts and analysis software to plot lens resolution at the centre of the image frame, corners and mid-point distances, across the range of aperture settings and, with zoom lenses, at four different focal lengths. Meanwhile, Fuji's X-Mount wasn't as tightly locked down as say Canon RF or Nikon Z, but close, so there weren't a tonne of 3rd party options, particularly options this good.

Color accuracy is critical for modern creative work, but many creatives have no idea what a colorimeter is actually doing when you put it on your display. Regarding the shift to GFX, if they are able to make the same leaps with each new generation, as they did up to now, the userbase will only keep getting bigger, so it is logical they will have to divert more resources to grow that part of the business before they start getting more competition. DC DN C is a short-telephoto prime lens corrected for APSC sensors and available in native Sony E and Micro Four Thirds mounts. If you’re a DX user, then the nearest you’ll get to this focal length from a proprietary prime lens is the Nikkor DX 24mm f/1. both of which have optical stabilisation), but all new Olympus, Panasonic and Sony bodies feature built-in stabilisation, so it’s not an issue going-forward.I don’t know whether they produce a lens with multiple mounts at the same time, or batches of different mounts. EDUCATION: Chris graduated Magna Cum Laude from Adelphi University with a degree in Communications in Journalism in 2009. I thought it would be interesting to add his opinion to this article and see how he is getting on with the very same lens.
