There are two elements of Kingmaker that really worked for me, and the first of these is how it functions as a love letter to spy thrillers as a genre. The Planetary Governor tricks his Adeptus Arbites into quelling a prison break that turns out to be a carefully crafted ambush, placing the Arbitrators under lock and key alongside those same criminals they had arrested. Venenum Temple - The Venenum Temple trains exclusively in the use of exotic poisons and subtlety in carrying out their mission requirements. Almost nothing is known in Imperial databases about the locations of the Officio Assassinorum's six different temples except that they are still located somewhere on Terra, save for the Eversor Temple. Ostensibly a standalone read (although there is room to expand out into an extended series), this is a book that will appeal to a wide range of Warhammer fans, especially as it focuses on two particularly unique and brilliant Imperial sub-factions, the dual use of which clash together perfectly to create an awesome narrative. He can climb sheer surfaces, leap gaping chasms, run as fast as the wind, and endure hardships that would kill a lesser man.
