While Gabby Gabby is shown to have reformed at the end, it is presumed that Stinky Pete may have reformed after being owned by a child. Lotso, on the other hand, does not reform at all. Through this, it can be assumed that she is more of an anti-hero or a tragic anti-villain than an outright villain of malicious nature. Gabby's personality is in marked contrast to the heartless sadism of Lotso and the embittered resentment by Stinky Pete in previous films. Like Sid, who vowed never to hurt a toy again after being scarred for life from the toys who scared him into submission, Gabby accepts a chance to reform after being shown the error of her ways, voluntarily having herself adopted by a lost girl in atonement for her bad deeds. Using the distraction of a nearby person, Woody manages to make a run for it. However, Gabby Gabby sends her Bensons, mute ventriloquist dummies who are her henchmen, to stop their escape. While Woody manages to make it out, the Bensons capture Forky in several pieces. Later reconstructing Forky, Gabby Gabby befriends Forky and quizzes him on everything he knows about Woody. When Harmony visits the store once again, playing tea with a nearby tea set, Gabby Gabby practices playing at the same time, Forky giving her pointers. On the way to Bonnie's RV, Gabby Gabby spots a lost girl behind the carnival stalls crying and desires to help her. The other toys help Gabby get noticed by the girl and the doll comforts her enough to go ask for help. The child is soon reunited with her parents and she keeps Gabby Gabby, finally giving the toy the love she longed for.

Gabby Gabby was inspired by Talky Tina, the evil doll in the Twilight Zone episode "Livin' Doll," as well as Vito Corleone.

Gabby Gabby is the only female main antagonist in the Toy Story franchise. She started out as an antagonist to anti-hero and later tragic hero. Gabby Gabby is the second main Pixar movie villain who redeems herself after Mor'du from Brave. However, Mor'du redeemed himself after his defeat, whereas Gabby Gabby redeemed herself by choice. Unlike Sid Phillips, Stinky Pete and Lots-o'-Huggin' Bear, the main antagonists of the first three Toy Story movies, Gabby Gabby does not have any interactions with Buzz, if Sid's apparent redemption in the third film does not count. She is also the only main antagonist of a Toy Story sequel who doesn't meet or interact with Jessie and Bullseye. Most of her interactions are just with Woody. From all three, indeed, Gabby Gabby is the least villainous from the franchise not counting Sid who didn't know toys were alive and turned his life around.

Unlike Lotso and Stinky Pete, Gabby Gabby isn't a ruthless tyrant despite being the main antagonist. She also never goes too far as to try to kill the main characters. Like Stinky Pete, Gabby Gabby was manufactured during the mid-20th century and went unsold for many years. They also interacted with Woody and ended up being adopted by girls. However, Stinky Pete came to resent kids for never being played with and thus became determined to be exhibited in Mr. Konishi's toy museum of Japan, while on the other hand, Gabby Gabby nearly lost all hope of being played with after being rejected by Harmony and it was Woody and his friends that helped her to move on and try with another little girl. The help and love of Woody and his friends to aid her into seeking another chance and not to lose all hope of ever being played with are what kept Gabby Gabby from becoming like Stinky Pete. However, both Stinky Pete and Gabby Gabby enjoyed their lives after being adopted (Stinky Pete admitted in his interview that he grew fond of his owner Amy, and Gabby Gabby finds herself at peace after comforting the crying girl who decided to adopt her). The only difference is that Gabby Gabby was a kind toy despite committing some serious crimes while Pete would have stayed evil if not for Amy. Like Stinky Pete, Gabby Gabby was initially never owned by a child, waiting years before being owned. However, Gabby Gabby merely had a defective voice box, unlike Stinky Pete, who wasn't sold due to the rising popularity of space toys (which he grew disdainful towards). While she and her subordinates did resort to drastic measures in her attempt at getting the voice box she desired, she ultimately never intended to hurt anyone, instead handling situations in a professional manner, in one scene chastising her personal aide for hastily shoving Woody and Forky in her stroller, and in a later scene calmly reasoning with Woody over her need for a child to play with her. She reaches an agreement with Woody to surrender his voice box, and gives the cowboy doll's demands in return without any consequences, and unlike Lots-o'-Huggin' Bear, who became embittered and vengeful over being abandoned and forgotten, Gabby never showed any sort of negative sentiment or feelings of betrayal, despite being rejected by Harmony as an "uninteresting" doll. While she did feel disappointed and crushed by the rejection, Gabby accepts the fact that there is more to her world than just Harmony, and became open to being adopted by other girls.Woody stays behind to approach Gabby Gabby in the box where she was thrown, not having moved. Gabby Gabby offers to return his voice box as she claims she doesn't need it anymore, but Woody insists she keep it. Although she tells Woody to go away, Woody offers to get Gabby Gabby adopted by Bonnie. Even though she is initially scared that Bonnie will reject her as well, Bo Peep arrives at that time to encourage her to try because Gabby Gabby will not get anywhere if she just stays on a shelf like Bo did. Convinced, Gabby Gabby accompanies them. Restaurants: Alien Pizza Planet • Toy Box Cafe • Toy Story Pizza Planet Arcade • Woody’s Lunch Box • Poultry Palace • Roundup Rodeo BBQ Restaurant Despite her appearing malevolent, she was not intentionally evil throughout the film, as she neither abused nor tortured Forky or Billy, Goat and Gruff. Also, she did not hurt Woody while she got his voice box, as the Bensons worked carefully with him. Gabby also kept her promise to him as she released Forky and Bo Peep's sheep after she received his voice box. In return, Gabby helped Woody return to Bonnie, but not before changing their plans by being with a kid, who is lost at the carnival, further cementing her redemption. Gabby Gabby is also the only main villain in the Toy Story film series to redeem herself, at least onscreen ( Sid Phillips, the main antagonist of the first Toy Story film, is implied to have changed his ways for good as later seen in Toy Story 3, but his apparent reform takes place offscreen). Despite her initial antagonistic role as manipulative and covetous, she wasn't actually evil throughout the film, as she neither abused nor tortured Forky or Billy, Goat, and Gruff. Also, she didn't hurt Woody while she got his voice box, as the Bensons worked carefully with him. Gabby also kept her promise to him as she released Forky and Bo Peep's sheep after she received his voice box.

Gabby Gabby's color design is the exact reverse of the Grady Sisters in The Shining. Gabby wears a pastel yellow polka dot dress, while the Grady Sisters wear pastel blue polka dot dresses. Though initially the antagonist, Gabby Gabby has underlying reasoning for her actions, rather than for malicious intent. Trapped in an antique store with nothing but mute "dummies", she gets lonely and her honest desire for friends is what drives her motivations. [1] She is polite and well-spoken to visitors, even engaging in conversations with them, as shown when she discusses with Forky about Woody's past. However, due to her creepy and bitter demeanor, many other characters such as Woody and Bo Peep would pass her off as being "crazy". Fireworks: Celebrate the Magic • Celebrate! A Nighttime Celebration • The Magic, the Memories and You • Momentous • Together Forever: A Pixar Nighttime Spectacular • World of Color Gabby Gabby is a very complex character. When Woody and Forky first meet her, she seems like a very nice toy. However, right after meeting her, Woody and Forky soon learn that she is a bitter toy who is determined to get Woody's voice box, so she can finally be taken in by her dream owner. Gabby Gabby sulking in the crate after being rejected by Harmony and Woody comforting her was based on Penny being rejected by a couple and the orphanage cat Rufus also comforting her in the 1977 Disney animated film The Rescuers.

The Toy Story gang

Overall, Gabby Gabby is more misunderstood than evil. While her methods of getting taken in by Harmony weren't excusable, she was a very kind toy who redeemed herself after she realized the true meaning of play time. Gabby Gabby is the third most recurring villain in the Toy Story franchise after Sid and Emperor Zurg. The plates on the top of the cabinet where Gabby Gabby sits at have the same designs of Brave and Up. Similar to Lotso, Gabby Gabby also has henchmen. The only difference is that Lotso's gang turn on their leader after learning of his true intentions while the Bensons do not as they just obey Gabby Gabby without complaints or questioning. Befitting a girl's doll of her kind, Gabby generally speaks and acts in a polite and well-spoken manner, rarely if ever raising her voice towards others, let alone get angry, though she is generally viewed as a pariah among her toy peers at the antique shop, with some like Giggle McDimples referring to her as either a "creep" or a "weirdo", partly due to her association with the Bensons. Despite her initial antagonism towards Woody and the gang, she is of good character from within, only driven more by desperation from having been trapped in the antique store than genuinely malicious intent.
