This is an amazing feature for those of us who have frequently wished for more control over the brightness levels of our book lights! Reading a book is a great way to relax before you go to sleep, but unfortunately, an e-book isn’t the best choice, because the blue lightfrom your phone or tablet can make it harder to fall asleep. If you go with the more sleep-friendly option of a physical book but like to keep your room dark to help you wind down at night, a book light is the perfect solution. Unlike the Mighty Bright light, this Vekkia light does offer multiple color temperatures including a 3000K one. This is spectacular! Vekkia calls these color temperatures “warm,”“white,” and “mixed,” and to use them you simply press the button to change between the three. And one of the coolest things about this light is that to charge it, you simply plug it into your computer or a USB wall adapter—no charging cords needed! It should take about 1.5 hours to fully charge when depleted, and then should last you for at least 8 hours of reading or more if you use it on the dimmer setting.
Unfortunately, this light only offers one color temperature. However, this color temperature is 3000K which is considered the ideal night reading color temperature (of course, you may find it’s not the ideal for you depending on your eyesight and your own preferences). For me personally, however, I find this to be an excellent reading color so I don’t mind that it is the only temperature possible on this book light. With this rechargeable light, you’ll find that it takes around 2.5 hours to fully charge and then you can use it for up to 40 hours of reading time. All you have to do is plug in the micro USB charging cable that comes with this light, and then you’ll be good to go! But be sure to buy a USB wall adapter for charging if you don’t already have an extra one laying around at home. Another excellent feature of this book light is that it is rechargeable. This means you can simply plug it in between uses and it will always be ready to go! It takes around 2.5 hours to fully charge if you’ve let it run down, and there is a little light that will turn green once it is full. You can then use the book light for around 6-8 hours before it needs to be charged again.

While this light is a clip on headboard reading light, it is different from many of its type in that it is rechargeable rather than needing a wall outlet. You’ll find it comes with a USB compatible cord that you can plug into a USB wall adapter (not included). It should take around four hours to fully charge and should last for up to 24 hours, depending on the brightness settings you choose. However, there are some people who find this yellow light does not work well for them to read by (whether because of eye issues or simply because they do not like the color). In cases like these, I recommend you try to find a light with warm white light as this is not as yellow but still easier on the eyes.
