About this deal

Pipe benders are used to bend metal pipes - such as stainless steel and copper pipes - to form a range of curves and angles. The single sizes of each bender with their shorter bending arms and lightweight aluminium die casting makes each bender lighter to carry and the design of the 15mm-XV is small enough to fit inside a toolbag.

pipe, bent with a spring is ok, but do not expect a very tidy job and read our project about how to box the pipes in afterwards as although it will probably do the job it will need hiding away! The nylon guides are integral to the pipe bender helping to ensure they don’t get lost or damaged in a toolbag. Codes for these spare guides are 1216N 15mm Spare Nylon Guide and 1223J 22mm Spare Nylon Guide. The images shown here are of multi pipe benders and mini pipe benders. The multi bender, as the name suggests, will take many different sizes of pipe, while the mini bender will take the smaller diameter pipes. Plumbers meet many obstacles and restrictions when installing lengths of pipe, so pipe benders are essential for many plumbing jobs. Pipe springs can be used in pipes up to 22mm diameter but bending a 22mm pipe with a spring is a herculean task which none of us would attempt.Pipe benders are used when piping needs to bend to fit around an obstacle, or through a gap. Bespoke automakers often use them to bend exhaust pipes and other automotive accessories into shape. This is one of the reasons plumbers prefer to use a copper pipe bender rather than simply cut the pipe and put a bend fitting like an elbow into the run to change direction. less fiddly– with the integrated hook and nylon guide, your hook stop won’t flop from side to side and the guide(s) won’t fall out

Bending copper pipe can be done properly in two ways, ether a tool called a bending spring is used or a more substantial tool called a proprietary plumbers copper pipe bender is used. And let’s face it, two separate guides just mean you have two more things to lose, and two more things you’ve got to find in your van every morning. Degree - Most pipe benders bend to a 90 degree angle, however some bend to 180 degrees and beyond for specialist jobs. Consider the bending degree required for your jobs when choosing a pipe bender. A. Cheap thin copper but even expensive copper ripples. But makes a big difference with running wire wool over the guides first. Keep them clean. Found the wee monument benders don’t ripple the pipe as much. Great wee benders (Answered by Roy Millar Plumbing and Heating on 26 Jan 2021) We have also designed bending arm extension handles to increase the leverage for bending both 15mm 22mm copper pipe. These short threaded extension handles code 1224M fit both the 15mm XV XVE & XVL and 22mm XXII versions. One or more extension handles can be added for additional leverage. We believe the 1215K-XV, the 1315XVE, the 1315Longarm-XVL, the 1222G-XXII and the 1322Extended-XXIIE are easier to use than a combi bender:
