Whilst these countries might be small, and disparate and isolated, in reality they occupy a serious part of the world’s space, and it becoming more important every day. A re-energized approach based on New Zealand values and increased technical and financial support to the Pacific. A re-energized approach also based on greater coordination of effort by all New Zealand stakeholders with an interest in the Pacific, with Pacific governments and people, and with key partners near and far. Getting better outcomes involves new agendas involving the non market economy (mainly education and healthcare), the innovation system, using data, creating well-functioning cities, and re-building confidence in institutions. And no one wants clogged cities or arteries. Better health care creates no losers

As child health professionals we can no longer ignore what we see. Today, on the International Day for the Eradication of Poverty, we stand united against child health inequalities and poverty and call on UK Governments to act. In many respects the Pacific is where New Zealand matters more, wields more influence, and can have more positive impact.

Shifting the Dial, which Scott Morrison says could help the economy recover from Covid-19, had to revise some numbers down last year I am thirty-something London based Brit whose yoga journey quite literally started with a bang after I was hit by a van while cycling to work in 2015. Broken bones and lots of soft tissue damage ensued and months later when I still couldn't lift my arm above my head, I turned to yoga to heal myself. I had never done any form of movement/dance/gymnastics, couldn't touch my toes or do a press-up, and was (am!) working 60+ hours a week at a desk.
