For a mouth-watering treat, the world’s biggest easter egg made from chocolate was created in Tosca, Italy and measured 10.39 m (34 ft 1.05 in) in height, weighed 7,200 kg and, at its widest point, had a circumference of 19.6 m (64 ft 3.65 in). The egg itself is made out of welded steel (not chocolate!), while the painted shell is made from a sandwich of foam and resin-impregnated canvas. Both the structure and the shell were built in four separate sections which were then fitted together for the official record attempt and unveiling on 9 March.
