See, this is why developers shouldn't be rushing games out the door with the mindset that they can always be patched later. Even if patches do turn the game into the something good, its reputation has already been forever ruined beforehand. of the most amazing games in existence (GTA3, GTA VC) got that port. Everything would be fine if they cared about the music and brought every single song from the original versions. Too much praise over patches that shouldn't have been necessary to begin with, is like condoning their actions. Just my opinion. Also I’d love a follow up like a month after the physical versions drop. I wanna know what one sells the best in the long run across the consoles since they all came out the same day. FYI it’s having issues even on a Series X so it definitely isn’t a Switch hardware problem. Grove Street Games is incompetent and clearly skipped the QA phase. Needs some patches badly. They somehow botched PS2 games.

GrailUK Try playing these remasters and the originals before both making yourselves look foolish. These look and play far worse than the originals they are a buggy mess. Only saving grace is it s'posedly being a hot mess across all platforms. Anyone know how any casuals are taking it?

I would be all over a top down GTA complication as a few have said already. This GTA3 trilogy doesn’t interest me. Zuljaras I mean... People could also just not buy a game with issues. That makes your voice heard too.

GTA IV may be a beast to handle. I guess getting it to run on both the PS3 and Xbox 360 was a giant stretch since it was developed on the former first. Very good review, I was thinking of getting this game but I will wait a little longer. This game still getting more updates? though if it does only end up as a digital release then I'll probably either wait for that physical release that may end up happening anyway or wait for a price drop, either way. I wouldn't assume someone who enjoyed Skyrim to also enjoy Morrowind because the controls and systems are completely different, and the while franchise has gone in a totally different direction over the decades, the older titles have a lot of interesting mechanics the recent titles don't have anymore because they're more casual now. I think the same thing applies here, it's just not for everyone.

So, Has The GTA Trilogy On Switch Improved?

Yeah, we get to play GTA on the switch! I'd rather they port things badly then not at all. Good example is Kingdom Hearts. Even though I don't care to play it, it still would be better if they ported it and not done just a cloud version. Would pretty awesome on the OLED if it runs at 60fps! Would also be sweet if Chinatown Wars is included (and also runs similarly smoothly) Zanzox the stories and animation are the same as they always were and if anything the controls are better. The graphics you can argue either way PJOReilly Thanks for the honest review - what a shame. Why didn't they just upscale the resolution, update the controls and call it a day? They're definitely in a playable state now and I can recommend to anyone interested. Albeit with the understanding they should have been even better.

I used to be a big fan of the series. And GTA V was last game played before ditching PC gaming entirely for the Switch. But even the excellent Doom ports can't get my attention, so I think I'm over that phase 😉 I was going to wait regardless as this smells like a game that will be half priced after the holidays. I think it looks okay but it’s much more jarring to deal with the problems listed when actually playing a game instead of just looking at gameplay footage. The very fact that FIFA 21 is below it on the list tells you how much trust to put into users review. FIFA 21 is a decent game, it just wasn't a new game. Great news if true. Really surprised this has taken so long, seems an obvious thing to do and will no doubt do very well. IronMan30 I don't know, it seems like a bit of projection. You have to expect (and maybe even welcome!) a response to review criticism. Conversation is certainly better than typing into the void IMO.

Kimyonaakuma Not to rain on your parade, but there's a very good reason for people to be invested. These games are some of the most regarded in the franchise yet they decided to have the remasters be done by a studio focused on mobile games and remove the originals from sale. I’m kinda hoping that they do a complete reversal of the “physical” release and do a proper launch mid next year. Vice City has crashed on me more times than I can recall. if anything, this gat trilogy release puts into perspective just how good a job Nintendo did with porting their games- they are all solid ports of the originals (with small upgrades) while maintaining what made the originals so special.
