The heads were easy to switch out without a mess. It took a bit of effort to attach the extension to the handle, but it wasn’t difficult. We couldn’t get the storage hook to fasten the brush properly to hang it though, so storage could be an issue. We liked the Clorox Toilet Wand Disposable Toilet Cleaning Kit because the handle was long and it was easy to add and remove the brush head with just the touch of a button—no need to come anywhere near the dirty brush head. We were also happy to see that the Oxo Good Grips Toilet Brush with Rim Cleaner lived up to its name and offered a good grip as did the tapered handle on the Boomjoy Toilet Brush, though we wished the latter were a bit longer.

It is good and cleaner than the old type, but I do think the old type are more effective at actually cleaning. Especially stains of the dried on variety. The Mr. Clean – 440436 Turbo has dense bristles – even denser than the OXO – and an easy-to-hold handle. The bristles bent under pressure, but for the most part, they held their shape well. The Mr. Clean is similar in shape to the OXO, so it was also good for cleaning under the rim and at the bottom of the toilet. During our testing, we found that the lightweight toilet brush had a long handle that was comfortable to grip and maneuver to reach all around the inside of the toilet. We loved how simple it was to connect and detach the brush heads. We did have to touch the clean one to firmly attach it to the brush handle, but we didn’t have to go near it after it had been used—we simply pressed the button to release the scrub head into the trash. This toilet brush doesn’t look like your ordinary toilet brush. Rather than bristles, this eco-friendly toilet brush has scrub heads made from coconut husks that are gentle yet abrasive enough to scrub away toilet grime.
