Communication of the data: The data will not be communicated to third parties except by legal obligation. We have to warn you that, as with many other books, The Snow Girl is also going to be adapted to a real image. Specifically, it has been Netflix who has been interested to get the rights and record a series. There's something about this novel that is just plain sad. Even when nothing particularly sad seems to be happening. It's a tone that the story never shakes and perhaps it is something to do with the description of the freezing and isolated environment that made me feel like I should prepare to burst into tears at any second. I can't say for sure whether this book was supposed to be a lesson in how you cannot run away from your problems, or how bottling things up and shutting people out never works, but I can say that I took a little bit of all of this from the story. With the investigation underway, Ana and Álvaro host a memorial for Amaya and invite the press so they can provide a statement, speaking directly to their daughter and her kidnapper. Ana pleads with her daughter’s abductor to return her to them. Álvaro’s best friend David Luque, his wife Rosa, and their son Samuel attend the event to cheer them up and assist them in handing out flyers with Amaya’s face and information on them.

On that note ....it's still summer here in California..."I'm walking outside for sunshine - to ride my spin-bike under the tree and continue reading. I didn't feel that the epilogue was necessary at the end, really. It's not that I didn't 'want' to read it --- I DID---at the same time, without it, my imagination would have had a chance to take my own path. I wonder what others think? We both loved the fantasy and magical aspect of this story which made it a thoroughly pleasurable reading experience! Snegurochka" (Snow Maiden) is a Russian fairy tale where the child is fashioned out of snow by a childless woodcutter and his wife, and subsequently brought to life by Father Frost, the spirit of the winter, who takes pity on them. The snow maiden lives with her foster parents quite happily until she falls for a human boy against the express admonitions of Father Frost - the warmth inside melts her, and she fades away bringing spring to the countryside in the process.is this the snow child come to life? is it all a coincidence?? is there magic afoot? is it simply grief-fueled madness? cabin fever? any other explanation? The Snow Girl, like many of Javier Castillo's books, It is within the genre of suspense. Keep in mind that it is about unveiling a mystery, and that is why the author uses two timelines that he intersperses. Another child gone from their lives. It was a possibility she could not bear. She wound herself tightly, as if within her girdled ribs she could contain all possibilities, all futures and all deaths. Perhaps if she held herself just right. Maybe if she knew what would be or could be. Or if she wished with enough heart. If only she could believe.”

This is a beautifully written book. The Snow Child is inspired by the Russian folktale in which a childless elderly couple make a snowchild that comes to life as a young girl. Ivey's use of the folktale is multilayered and inventive, and works very well in the book's setting of Alaska in the 1920s. Castillo commented: “I’m incredibly grateful for the overwhelming global success of The Snow Girl and the amazing support it has received from readers all over the world. The opportunity to collaborate and publish with Penguin Michael Joseph on this journey is an absolute blessing, and I am filled with enthusiasm to bring my beloved character, Miren Triggs, to readers in the UK and Commonwealth.” Birth, death, rebirth - these are the themes of ageless tales. There are no full stops in life, but an endless cycle of seasons through which we eke out our existence - brief candles, whose flames are ephemeral yet eternal at some level.Eowyn Ivey writes so vividly that I felt I was in the middle of the snow and then a full blown snow storm, and during the summer scenes, I felt the heat of the hot sun, the mosquitoes swarming. This story is such a beautiful example of magical realism, the fantastical, the imagined, combined and layered into the every day real life. And such a life that this couple experienced in the Alaskan wilderness where nothing is taken for granted, where preparing for the upcoming winter is paramount all spring and all summer. I recommend this story to anyone that values the beauty and selflessness of true friendship, who has ever dealt with love and loss in their life, or to those who are parents, as this book speaks to the nature of giving, caring, nurturing, but eventually, having to let go... As the harsh weather conditions worsen, Grandpa falls gravely ill, but the doctor cannot reach him through the snow. Tasha knows that she must ask Alyana to bring winter to an end, but will this mean she will lose her only friend forever? I could chat about this book now for hours...but I'll stop-- YOU GUYS HAVE READ THIS BOOK ALREADY... ( you need my thoughts like a hole in the head)...

Meanwhile, the detectives on the case,Belén Millán, and her partner Chaparro, question one of the neighbors, a woman who claims to have seen something the night of the parade. Since the disappearance, the cops have found Amaya’s discarded yellow raincoat. It shows Kiera, alive and well, playing in a bedroom. Several more videos arrive, always showing Kiera in that same room. Until a final video arrives. It’s the same bedroom – but Kiera is gone. Miren is determined not to let Kiera disappear again. But someone doesn’t want Kiera to be found – and will do whatever it takes to stop Miren in her pursuit.”This way of writing is risky and many readers who embark for the first time can be overwhelmed because at any given moment you do not know if you are in the present, in the past. But that's only at the beginning, when you still don't know the characters; then things change and those twists in the plot not only help you understand why the protagonists are like this, but you also immediately realize the timeline that is followed (and there is mystery in both). Is there a continuation of the book?
