Disney stopped making direct to video animated sequels at this point but they still had some awful live-action ones left. Near the beginning of the film, Budderball mentions that he had a problem for craving turkey. However, in Santa Buddies, he is actually shown being on the naughty list for eating the turkey. Either this film takes place after Santa Buddies, or Budderball just mentioned his problem as an introduction to what we will see in Santa Buddies. I watched this film as a joke with my girlfriend, as both of us were looking for something really awful to laugh at. Sadly, the movie wasn't that funny and really wasn't that poorly made either.
