About this deal

The 1.6”screen measures has a 220 x 176 resolution and the display is always on, making it a lot more convenient. It’s easily viewed, even in direct sunlight. While the 200MHz processor isn’t the fastest, it’s functional and there’s no lag when opening and using apps. The battery also offers a long lifespan of at least two days, even when apps are running.

Are you curious about the best apps to use for your Sony Smartwatch 2? Do you want to get the most out of your wearable experience? After wearing my own Sony Smartwatch 2 for a few months, I have become an expert on finding and testing the right apps that work with this device. The Spacetalk Adventurer has no social media or open internet in a bid to enhance your littleone's safety. Connect to your child with the Spacetalk App and control their watch from the app.Sony's only real software additions come in the form of some pretty lame watch faces. I like the default Digital face, as well as a weird Coordinate view that spells out the time on a graph. But in general, the rest of the selections here are neither as classy nor as fun as you'll find on competing watches. The Sony 2 can’t take calls unless you have a headset or hands-free kit and, while messages can be received and read on your wrist, there are only pre-set reply templates for responding. There’s also no integrated voice action or keyboard. All of this means that you really need to take your smartphone along with you wherever you go. Although rumours abound of a Sony Smartwatch 4, at the moment it’s still under wraps so, should you buy one of these three older models? The answer very much depends on what you want from a smartwatch and your own personal preferences. If you have a Sony Xperia smartphone, you may appreciate the better connectivity, but if you’re looking for a fully functioning wearable for a similar price, you may be better off looking at a Samsung Galaxy Active 2. The Sony SmartWatch 3 has a 1.6-inch 320 x 320 transflective display. That's the same resolution and almost exactly the same size as the similarly square Gear Live, as well as being the same resolution as the G Watch R and a slightly higher resolution than the Moto 360. Fast forward to 2016 and the resolution standard hasn't changed all that much. The Huawei Watch reigns supreme with 400 x 400. Sony has popped a relatively mediocre 1.6-inch, 220 x 176 TFT LCD display in the Smartwatch 2, which is no where near as detailed or bright as the AMOLED offering in the Galaxy Gear, but that's not necessarily a bad thing.

I'm not entirely sure that much of the information is all that useful, but seeing how long you've spent walking or running and how many steps you've taken can be handy, especially as you can also set daily targets. It also doesn't weigh a great deal - only 122.5g in fact - which actually made it lighter than my day to day watch, and after a while you won't even notice it's on your wrist. The SmartWatch 3 is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core ARM Cortex A7 processor and 512MB RAM, so it performs on par with other Android Wear devices. It also has 4GB of storage, 2.5GB of which are available to users out of the box. However, if you are considering purchasing one, then it really is not worth it unless you are looking to save a piece of history. They are hard to find, very outdated, and do not beat or even meet the current competition. The Sony Smartwatch 3 is ultimately not worth spending your money on. Thankfully the Smartwatch 2 employs your standard watch strap, with a peg and a number of holes to ensure a snug fit to your particular wrist size. As with all devices, you can expect a range of pros and cons. To make your decision-making easier, we have detailed the main pros and cons below so that you can get an idea of what you would be spending your money on. Pros But what sets this app apart is its augmented reality features. With just a few taps on your smartwatch screen, you can access a map overlay or view information about nearby restaurants and businesses simply by pointing at them with your watch face. It’s like having a personal assistant right there on your wrist! And don’t worry about draining your battery life – the Augmented SmartWatch Pro is designed with efficiency in mind, so it won’t slow down or use up too much power while in use.

You can long-press to select the screen that suits you best and swipe through cards that show you the forecast, traffic and other useful information. Swiping down will find the battery status and turn on cinema mode to silence the watch. You can also use voice commands to send messages by saying ‘OK Google’. The tech is spot on when it comes to functionality, keeping you in touch wherever you go. How Good is the Sony Smartwatch 3 Battery Life? Give your child the freedom they want with the peace of mind you need. With the Spacetalk Adventurer you can keep connected to your little one, wherever they go. The Spacetalk Adventurer watch is more than just a smartwatch, it’s a 4G phone and GPS device all-in-one. Finally, one of my favorite aspects of the Smartwatch 2 Call Handling app is how customizable it is. You can choose which notifications come through directly to your watch and even set different vibration patterns for specific callers. All these options ensure that managing calls has never been easier or more personalized than with the Smartwatch 2 Call Handling App! 3. Battery Notifier for SW2 On the plus side, the SmartWatch 3 has a 420mAh battery, which is just large enough to be the highest-capacity cell we've seen in an Android Wear device so far. Sony claims the battery is good for up to two days of use, but I think you're going to need to charge the watch every night, particularly if you use GPS a lot. Yes, you can definitely get more than a day's worth of battery life out of the SmartWatch 3, but it's probably going to die at some point the following afternoon. Charging is done with a micro-USB that slots into a port on the watch. This gives you the freedom to charge wherever you go as the wire is easily transportable and can be plugged into any device with a USB slot or a USB plug. What Kind of Apps Are Available On the Sony Smartwatch 3?

Any apps that you have on your watch can be accessed either by navigating to the start screen, which is buried at the bottom of a list of voice commands and actions or by actually giving the watch a voice command and asking it to launch an app. In reality, no matter how good the tech was when it was released nor how good the battery life is, this watch is no longer a market competitor. If you have one and do not mind that it has not been updated, then we are sure you can continue to use it with minimal fuss or hassle. Measuring 42 x 41 x 9mm the Sony Smartwatch 2 isn't particularly overbearing and while it may be a tad bigger than your current time piece, your wrist won't feel swamped. The 450mAh battery isn’t the biggest but it does allow for around a two-day lifespan, while the integrated NFC and GPS make this a more appealing model than either of its older siblings. Technically, you can play music through this device as there’s 4GB of storage, but getting the songs on there in the first place is a challenge. One feature I love about Battery Notifier for SW2 is its ability to send notifications when the battery level reaches a certain threshold. For example, if you set your notification at 20%, you will receive an alert on your phone or watch when your battery level drops below that point. This allows you to plan accordingly and ensure that you don’t run out of power unexpectedly.
