About this deal

Ideally, I'd go for the 18.2Gbps cables from Monoprice, but importing those from the US is just a bit too expensive. Incidentally, the plugs on my HomeTheater cables, as well as the old version of the PureLink cable and the inakustik and Deltaco remind me a lot of the ones used on the Monoprice cables, which leads me to believe that they're all manufactured at the same factory. I might be wrong about that, though. Any device , including redmere technology , that proposes to steal 5v line power will be unreliable with the vast majority of HDMI devices on the market. I need to connect my tv and my AV receiver in my new setup with, unsurprisingly, an HDMI cable. Cable length needs to be around 3 metres. So far, so good.

My problem is that I'm space constrained (well, depth constrained, actually) with regard to the receiver, so I'm looking for a flexible cable with a short plug. For my other gear I've been using these 2 metre ultra slim cables from HomeTheater. Sadly, not only are they no longer available, but I never managed to find one at 3 metres. The rise in the production of high-quality games and the ever-increasing demand to play them at home led Sony to release two different types of consoles. We're solidly in the age of 4K resolution and 8K is starting to heat up (don't worry, it will be a few more years before it becomes worthwhile to most viewers). High dynamic range ( HDR) content, which contains more information per pixel because of wider ranges of light and color, is also increasingly common. That's a lot of potential data to send from your media streamer, Blu-ray player, game console, or PC to your TV. If you want to know what kind of cable is included with your console, it’s best to buy it separately from the console or bundle. Beware products that draw power from the +5V power line. Although these may work in certain applications, different components draw varying amount of power from that line to communicate with each other. A cable that draws power from the HDMI cable may fail when components and the active components in the cable or external booster are all drawing from the same source."

The new console is sleeker and lighter than its predecessor, with improved processing power and graphics. With an HDMI cable, you can be assured that your new 4K TV will fully live up to its potential and deliver an unforgettable viewing experience.

Slim cables are at the edge of reliability at 3 meters , active circuitry could help , but if you dont have the room for a standard cable I'm assuming you dont have the room for a 5v power supply, and any active circuitry without its own power supply is no improvement in the vast majority of cases. It also includes a peripheral data transfer of 48Gbps to have high-resolution visuals without any lag. To sum it all up my questions are: Would it be wise to go for a RedMere enabled active cable or would a passive 3 metre cable suffice or even be preferable? If RedMere is the way to go, would it not be wisest to go with the cable from inakustik using the latest chip (which, of course, also is the most expensive one)? Monoprice also consistently offers the widest range of options for cable lengths and types. The basic High Speed cable, for example, is available in 12 different lengths between 1.5 feet and 30 feet, as well as eight different colors. There are plenty of options for Premium High Speed (seven lengths and two colors) and Ultra High Speed (four lengths), and that's before going into variants like slim cables. The Blue Jeans BJC Belden Series-FE cable is a well regarded cable that is also very flexible. It is fully certified Category 2 (High Speed). So I've been looking at alternatives and here's what I've found and what is more or less readily available to me:

This new video-output protocol was named HDMI 2.0, and it’s only now emerging as one of the most exciting innovations in consumer electronics. The PS4 comes with a 1.83-meter 2.0 HDMI cable. It has a video output quality of 1080 pixels and a speed of 60hz with a high dynamic range. HDMI 1.4 ensures compatibility for 4K televisions and gaming consoles such as the PS4 Pro and Xbox One S, providing users with the most advanced viewing quality available on TV screens today. What type of HDMI cable comes with PS4 Pro?This is intended to supply the EDID circuitry in the sink device , and at 50 milliamps , that is all it will be able to do.

HDMI cables are digital, so you aren't going to experience fuzziness or static if the signal gets weak. Instead, you might notice some strange artifacts, but mostly the signal will simply cut out entirely. This means signal fidelity and the importance of gold-plated connectors are completely irrelevant here. At least, to a point—and that point is between 25 and 75 feet. Each category has sub-categories based on additional features like an Ethernet channel built into the cable or a stronger signal for automotive use, but you only really need to worry about the main label. These cables only pass the high speed or category two tests when not using the active technology , thats a loophole they are exploiting. PS4 and PS5 come with a length of 1.96 meters or 6.5 feet of HDMI cable, which is enough length for most people’s TV setups. Suppose the television is on the other side of the room.To help you navigate the HDMI waters, here's everything you should know about them, including what the different types mean, what different brands are available, and how concerned you should be about getting the most out of your TV. The PlayStation 4 Pro is designed for a 4K display and comes with an extra option, the Slim version, which is not as demanding. The HDMI 1.4 specification was released over 10 years ago and all HDMI cables are manufactured to at least that specification. HDMI 1.4 was developed to accommodate 4K content and provide enough bandwidth to handle 4K video at up to 24 frames per second. Later, it evolved to HDMI 1.4a and HDMI 1.4b—but this is all ancient history in the video space. Slim HDMI Cable, Our ultra slimline range of HDMI Cables are the perfect choice for customers requiring a smaller and thinner cable perhaps when installing behind wall mounted TV or equipment, The HDMI plugs are around half the length of standard HDMIplugs and the cable diameter is approx 3.6mm this enables super slim TVs or displays to sit flush with the wall.
