About this deal

Overall Dimensions (WxHxD) 137 x 154.5 x 129 x 154.5 mm/ 5.39 x 6.08 x 5.08 in (incl. fan) Weight 1.000 g / 35.27 oz (incl. fan) Accessory Ive owned Noctua in the past, on this PC prior to the MSI excursion (im not wasting my time on water gadgets ever again) but decided to give this a go on recommendation, its the easily equal of Noctua Because you can take on the big boys of the charts, do it with less noise, and offer it up to the world for a similar cost, it shows how well Scythe thought out what they did. At first glance, it is hard to see all of the magic happen, but all is revealed once in your hands and strapped to a CPU.

The fans included with the Scythe FUMA 2 have both pros and cons. Because the included fans are low RPM, no matter what setting I used for fan speeds I was unable to discern the sound of the CPU fans from the rest of the computer, which will be appreciated by those who want a quiet build.Even though the FUMA 2 Rev.B didn't top the charts, it offers a great mix of many things. Good thermal results, better than average noise levels, low cost, and ease of use all come together to make a serious bid for your dollars. Pros In my previous post, most people recommended the Fuma 2. After doing some research I’ve found that these two Scythe coolers are my best options in terms of price to performance. Performance-wise, they are fairly similar. Fuma has slightly better performance. Mugen has better noise levels. Mugen is cheaper. Fan 1: 120 mm Kaze Flex PWM (2.7 - 23.9 dB (A), 300 - 1,200 rpm, 14.06 - 57.52 m³ / h) (8.27 - 33.85 CFM), 0.23 - 0.9 mmH2O Considering the 207 had the pleasure of taking air from a matched pair of 25mm fans, it is easy to see where the thermal advantage comes from, but all things considered, we feel that the Scythe FUMA 2 Rev.B is the obvious choice of the two. To top it all off, they are nearly identical in cost, so it's down to big and bulky, or big, but pleasant, you make the call. The FUMA2 is now at a nice 38c, 8c above ambient (its summer here)...the water cooler wasnt that good on its first day :)

Best cooler ever for CoolerMaster nr200p with tempered glass, shorter mainboard standoffs and liquid metal for the cpu. Even with the amount of thermal performance Scythe was able to turn out, they did not make our ears bleed while doing it. There are CPU coolers out there that make less noise, and there are cooler that perform better thermally, but Scythe found a terrific mix of all things required of a great addition to the CPU cooling market. There is no doubt that we kept bringing up the SE-207-XT Advanced, and that is because, currently, it is the class leader. However, that does not mean that is the end of the discussion. The 207 does not make concessions for anything, really. It is a large dual-tower design with loud fans, and while performance is king, we hope you are cool using low-profile RAM because ID-Cooling felt it wasn't that big of a deal. This is where a cooler like the FUMA 2 Rev.B stands out. It can run close to the competition but also makes concessions to RAM clearance and eases off the noise emitted into your ears. Rubberised pads covering the frame have a decoupling effect and prevent the transmission of noise and vibrations to the case. H.P.M.S. IV (Hyper Precision Mounting System IV) Fan 2: 16.6 ~ 51.17 CFM - 28.71 ~ 114.89 m³/h Connector 4-pin PWM Static Pressure Fan1: 0.44 ~ 9.41 Pa / 0.045 ~ 0.96 mmH²O On the flip side, the low RPMs are also limiting the potential performance of this cooler – I imagine this cooler would perform better with higher RPM fans. I’ll be exploring this further and testing the FUMA 2 (and other coolers) with upgraded fans in a future article. Intel LGA1700, LGA1200, LGA1150, LGA1151, LGA1155, LGA1156, LGA2011, LGA2066 and AMD AM4, AM3, AM2, FM1, FM2 *

Fan 2: 300 (±200 rpm) ~ 1500 rpm (±10%) (PWM-controlled) Airflow Fan 1: 8.16 ~ 39.44 CFM - 13.86 ~ 67.00 m³/h

In addition to the heat sink and fans, Scythe also includes thermal paste, a screwdriver, and additional fan clips so that you can install a 3rd fan for increased cooling performance if desired,. Installing the FUMA 2 This article was updated on June 17, 2021 to show equalized graph settings (i.e. minimum 50, maximum 70) in benchmarks except for Cinbench R23 & AIDA64 (which ran above 70) Fan 2: 120 mm Kaze Flex PWM (4.0 - 24.9 dB (A), 300 - 1200 rpm, 28.2 - 86.93 m³ / h) (16.59 - 51.16 CFM) , 0.076 - 1.05 mmH2O
