About this deal

No it means it will be the absolute latest it will be before it gets sorted. December 2047 is when it goes public domain. It could be solved earlier if Jake E thats a great idea but I think bluray releases need a seperate rights agreement. I might be wrong but Im sure thats what held up some of Networks bluray releases because they were seperate rights and had to be renegotiated for bluray. I might be wrong though.

On The Road The trip of a lifetime - a European road trip with Peter Davison, Janet Fielding and Sarah Sutton I was specifically saying that people shouldn’t hassle him over Unearthly Child, and let the BBC’s lawyers do their thing.

Meanwhile, the anniversary special, which was originally envisaged as a part of season 21, was something quite separate from any season. Although it used a portion of the original money involved in the season 20 commission, it received a separate commission from Head of Series David Reid on 15 July 1982. Indeed, it only received this commission because JN-T had been able to secure co-production money from the main Australian network. Moreover, The Five Doctors, as the production was eventually called, didn't begin principal photography until early March 1983 — just when season 20 was wrapping transmission on television. [1] Prof_Horner, you’re right, there still may be time, but that was announced the first week of October, so by that time on 23 nov, it will be getting on a bit unless they break tradition and release it in four weeks, personally i see an end of Jan beginning of Feb release for a Nov announcement.

It is a strong season, full of solid and entertaining stories. Jon Pertwee’s incarnation is at the centre in what would prove to be his penultimate year in the role. There are plenty of colourful creatures and of course the Daleks. What more could you want? Doctor Who: The Collection – Season 10 (c) Bedwyr Gullidge Bonus FeaturesIf this somehow helps us to get more animations then cool. I do find it interesting about all the sign language and stuff that they are doing for iPlayer that won’t be on any of the Blu-Rays For these box-sets, at the top of the spine is a representation of the key art from the cover. There has been an unusual inconsistency between whether or not the montage of monsters is included on the spine, or not. New 5.1 Surround Sound Mixes: On Snakedance and The Five Doctors. Plus Dolby Atmos mixes on The Five Doctors As there are 6 full stories completely missing (Marco, myth, massacre, savages, smugglers (possibly animated for this year), highlanders) and 5 stories with 1/2/3 episodes in storage (crusade, dmp, celestial (possibly animated for the 60th), wheel and space). O When is the next DWM out? You’d think it would get a mention in that so if that’s soon – we may not see that 3rd set pre Christmas? Reply

DPHill, yes I think it is more likely that the next set will be early next year. Maybe around Tom’s 90th birthday at end of January. If it is a Tom Baker season next. Then we will maybe get three sets next year.So excited. I’ve only seen Five Doctors before so this has been a set I’ve been eagerly anticipating for years.

The tweets from Coburn’s son are very convincing. It looks like Season 1, if it comes to bluray, will be incomplete unless the situation changes. Which will involve more money to pay for the rights and a few other demands, that I can’t see BBC agreeing to. Including Australian interviews with Peter Davison and Janet Fielding shot during production of this season. Well, our German label mentioned repeatedly in a podcast and on stage at TimeLash, what strange thing happened in 2021 to their ability to publish Unearthly Child… so I guess, it is not strictly speaking a secret and I can mention it as well. james, although Crusade has the same number of missing episodes, it also has a lot of costumes and characters. UWM is much smaller scale, so less work to animate. The following stories are the known ones to be set between the Season 19 finale Time-Flight and Season 20 opener Arc of Infinity:Time Lord 1944: The Maigret series is now owned by the Simenon estate, at least for non-broadcast rights. (Network wouldn’t tell me exactly how that happened though.) Rex F I am sure you are right but what puzzles me is why someone else with the exact same Blu-ray player as me doesn’t see the fault. What are they doing that’s hiding it? Noting that I am not a lawyer, to the best of my understanding and having had a look at the legislation in question, the script won’t independently fall into public domain in January 2048. The whole work is tied up behind the last of the writers, director and composer (so in the case of An Unearthly Child that’s Warris Hussein who is thankfully still with us to sort out some of Coburn’s more ridiculous claims). The Five Doctors, though often said to be a part of season 20, was therefore not a part of season 20 in any production or broadcast sense. Indeed, it's doubtful that any contemporary viewer thought of it as a part of the season, since it came almost eight months after the closing scene of The King's Demons. Instead, it had much greater production and broadcast proximity to season 21, and is often considered a standalone special. The episode was also considerably longer than typical episodes of the time, and was introduced during the Children in Need telethon by the host, Terry Wogan. Regarding season 6 and how many discs it Will be. It all depends on how many episodes you can get on a single disc. The Invision is 8 episodes and War Games 10 . So you would need discs for their extras at least and another for the bonus disc. So 10 would be about right. As for 15 , seven sounds about right. Maybe 8 for 25 a bit many. But it is McCoy’s last season to be released, so I suppose that is only fair.
