About this deal

The base adds some depth with cedar and sandalwood, which is what lingers on throughout the day once the lighter notes have subsided. Combined with the florals, it smells a little like detergent/freshly washed linens – it’s great. This was my first scent, which I received as a gift as a teenager. Since then, no matter what, I always have a bottle in my collection, even though I rarely use it any more. Truth be told, I don't remember the smell of previous iterations and changes. I never cared if it was sold as a "Verse" rather than Versace. It was always an affordable, dumb reach, staple for me. This is a perfect blind buy for someone who likes floral vanilla notes which smell like a floral coke here lol. It's an all season wear imo with decent projection for 6 hours maybe avoid it in winters. I just wished it projected stronger. Omg , it so beautiful fresh light aroma :-) i didnt expect anything from it , as I have some from jeans line and there is nothing interesting about those .

For the price... this really is a great everyday wearing scent. It's fresh, citrus and woodsy scent make it a joy to walk about in. Getting that occasional whiff to remind you of yourself. The not profile is not overtly masculine, to the point that when my girlfriend visits me she’ll occasionally use a spray or two of Blue Jeans on herself. When and Where Should You Wear Versace Blue Jeans? This smells amazing for the price. It has got a juicy soft floral vanilla coke vibe. This is timeless and will never run out of style. The fragrance contains, in a way, the DNA of its predecessor, bringing an initial citrus dip. But it is not a youthful perfume! It opens with citrus notes, but the body is rich in iris, rosemary, and galbanum. To finish, the base contains sandalwood, patchouli, cedar, musk, and vanilla. My first love wore this when I was 16 years old, and it truly breaks my heart to smell it now. I could honestly cry. This one was my first one at 1998. And you never forget your first one! Yes, it was reformulated, and under versus production, it wasn't the same as before. But now it's Versace again, and I can recall my good memories with the scent, it's smells now the same as it smelled in 1998. I don't feel it's dated! It's an unique scent, one of a kind. It has a great Coca Cola vibe at the opening and it's a bit gourmand, and it gives me a very cozy feeling. Longevity is superb easy 12+ hours on my skin. Projection and sillage are both fantastic. It still is in my gardrobe and i sprayed like 10 % out of it and that says enough for me (as a perfume addict), its an unusual floral sweet scent i dont like it but its very unique though. Blue Jeans is one of those scents. You just kinda know it as Blue Jeans. Or at the very least you know it's a Gianni Versace venture. L'Homme, Blue Jeans, and Dreamer all have very similar ideas. L'homme is a leathery 80's fougère idea, Blue Jeans turns up the citrus and Dreamer the tobacco. They all have a similar artemisia, lavender, and florals idea on a base of woody vanilla though.

There's some sweet - maybe vanilla. There's some citrus - maybe lemon. There's some spice - maybe cinnamon.

Its scent profile is Unique as well. People say that the dry-down is your typical vanilla and lavender scent, but it really isn't - the dry-down is on a complete different level. The top notes, middle notes and bottom notes are all prominent and do their own thing combining with each other in perfect harmony. It is a fragrance of its time though, a very 90s fragrance if you will - you will stand out wearing this, having people come up to you and ask what fragrance it is, telling you that they love it.

Personally, I see it as a more informal scent for relaxing on the weekend or getting work done in a dressed-down environment. I think I would give this a 5 for longevity not more and not less because it does last a bit but as mentioned not like when you first smell it sprayed on your skin. All has been said about the notes already, but to me it's just bottled nostalgia. I buy and collect scents which transport me to a specific place or mindset, and this is a perfect example, but I think it also just holds up nicely as an individual and enjoyable scent. Funnily enough people always seem to think this is some kind of luxury, expensive fragrance, and few videos I saw on Youtube seem to echo this sentiment. I'm 40 years old & been wearing this fragrance since I was a teenager. You can't really go wrong with this one. I honestly believe this is a great spring & fall scent. Okay, so straight away, I completely understand why some people don't like this fragrance. On that note, I really like this fragrance.Blue Jeans" was the disappointment of the '90s. The vanilla- and tuna-infused opening clings to your skin like Wil Wheaton's leech in "Stand by Me." About an hour in, it starts doing this weird "Vanna White yeast infection" thing.
