About this deal

The main trio of Guts, Griffith and Casca have a very interesting dynamic. And Griffith has an allure that's quite mystical and charismatic. Guts and his crew set out to Elf Island to restore Casca’s memories before deciding how to settle the score with Griffith once and for all. The arc was tying up loose ends at a very nice pace, answering questions that many readers have been contemplating since the beginning of the series such as the identity of Skull Knight, the origins of the God Hand, Griffith true motives, how Casca confronts her trauma, the purpose of the Berserker Armor, Guts finding the answer to his life’s purpose, the secret history and lore of the greater universe and much more. Forgotten the title or the author of a book? Our BookSleuth is specially designed for you. Visit BookSleuth Berserk Volume 3 is Miura finally landing everything right. While the pacing is slower than expected and necessarily wanted, I think this is where Berserk finally finds the proper footing and hits each mark it aims for.

It’s difficult to review this arc because it was left unfinished after the author’s untimely passing.Kentaro Miura's Berserk has reigned in darkness for three decades, creating an international legion of acolytes and inspiring anime TV series and feature films, video and card games, and a phalanx of related products. And now celebrating its thirtieth anniversary, the entire Berserk series is being released in handsome oversized bookshelf editions, each collecting three volumes of the original manga. The characterisation, the relationship dynamics and the art are all really stepping up in this series. Yeah, another Berserks was fantastic. Let's start with bad things, so it is out of the way: not enough demons. I still love the first episodes - I was mesmerized by this dark world full of blood and terrors from the first book. Since then, this Manga series has changed a lot. It has definitely grown up, and we can see the growth of all members of Hawk band, and there is a looming, dark conclusion in the future - we are just waiting for that. Well, maybe in the next book. Now Guts and Casca. This volume is everything I wanted to see in their relationship. Casca wasn't to be with Griffith who is the leader of the Band of Hawks. We got to see a little bit of her origin last volume which explains why. Deep in her heart it isn't Griffith that she wants it's Guts. There wasn't as much action in this volume which I enjoyed. Don't get me wrong I love the action but these past two volumes were pretty repetitive when it came to that. Guts' is now very vulnerable but he hasn't let loose. He's accepted his comrades which I thought was nice for his future self to hopefully regain that vulnerability. It's not until leaving the band of Hawks and returning where his vulnerability let's loose. I'm pretty sure it's all going to be destroyed next volume but I'm excited. The series has also spawned a whole host of merchandise, both official and fan made, ranging from statues and action figures, to key rings, video games, and a trading card game. In 2002, Kentaro Miura received the second place in the Tezuka Osamu ( Astro Boy) Cultural Prize of Excellence for Berserk. The author lives in Tokyo, Japan.

After a life of grief and trauma, Guts reluctantly joins Griffith on his quest to attain his own kingdom while simultaneously struggling to come to terms with his own identity. We get to see a side of Guts we’ve never experienced up until this point. We see his vulnerability, his wounded soul, his ability to show affection to others, his role as a battle commander, and his blossoming relationships with Casca and Griffith; the two people who end up having the biggest impact on his entire life for very different reasons. The Kushan Empire has risen to power and is waging war with the unguarded kingdom of Midland. As if the deadly plague, religious crusades and rampant demon invasions weren’t enough, Emperor Ganishka of the Kushan Empire is making life an even greater hell for anyone that’s in his path of conquest. The series has also spawned a whole host of merchandise, both official and fan made, ranging from statues and action figures, to key rings, video games, and a trading card game. In 2002, Kentaro Miura received the second place in the Tezuka Osamu (Astro Boy) Cultural Prize of Excellence for Berserk. The author lives in Tokyo, Japan. The character development in this omnibus is extraordinary. Hearts are broken and mended. Dreams are shattered, rekindled, and perverted. It's a series of triumphs, tragedies, and deeply heartfelt moments. I'm simply floored by how emotionally resonant this grim, dark fantasy story has become. It's always an excellent service with brilliant products at a very competitive price - will use again!

Griffith is the most interesting of the motley crew as he is very complex and unpredictable. He has a playful side, a merciless side, a charismatic side and a childish yet vulnerable side. He can't be put into any single category. The gallant and elegant master of the sword has more layers than an onion. His brotherly rivalry with Guts is also a lovely and dementedly joyful sight to behold. This is the major turning point of the series and it only gets better and better from here. Berserk Deluxe Edition Series 3 Books Collection Set (Berserk Deluxe Volume 1, Berserk Deluxe Volume 2, Berserk Deluxe Volume 3)Miura inspired me as well and I regard him for being the person who taught me just how influential, meaningful and life changing art and literature can be when I first read his series over a decade ago. He changed the way I view entertainment and taught me how to appreciate the deeper meanings in everything I experience.
