About this deal

Lizzie: This is a really fun, swampy green with a number of applications. Naturally, it’s great for giving those Mantis Warriors some time in the spotlight.

At this, Sigvald gave into a rage more akin to a Khornate Berserker than a Champion of Slaanesh, granting the Wight King yet another death. As Sigvald knelt over his opponent's body, he let out a scream of anguish. It was then that Throgg appeared behind him. The monster pummelled Sigvald into nothing more than a bloody pulp, angered by his constant taunts and boorish behavior, before urinating upon his ruined corpse... [5] [6] Wargear This all came to pass when Sigvald came upon a small valley nestled between a small mountain range, deep within the heart of the Chaos Wastes. It is here that he found a serene and beautiful landscape, completely shielded from the horrors which rage across the northern hellscape. The “dark and flat” colours, namely Dark Angels Green, Cygor Brown, Leviadon Blue, and Shyish Purple. These paints tint a lot but don’t produce very pronounced highlights. Citadel Contrast was a roaring success and popularised a whole new way of painting. Beginners were pleased with fast results, and advanced painters appreciated their versatility, as Contrast also makes good washes or glazes when thinned with Lahmian Medium or Contrast Medium.Auric Armour - The Auric Armour is a sculpted suit of plate mail forged from ensorcelled gold. Tendrils of dark energy constantly caress the skin of the wearer, rejuvenating his flesh and closing his wounds with a tender touch. [1a] It was from here that Sigvald, in his desire for perfection, gave his soul to a Daemonic Slaaneshi entity known only as Belus Pül. In exchange for his patronage, Sigvald promised the Daemon that he would follow his dream and indulge himself in every kind of decadence no matter how slight. With his soul sold to the Daemon, Sigvald was given the power he needed to acquire anything he so desires. [3a] Lizzie: A bold and brash paint with subtle darker tones, this is really versatile. Of course, it’s ideal for those Aeldari Striking Scorpions, but it’s brilliant for glazing onto eye lenses and gemstones to create glowing effects. Our paint scientists haven’t stopped there. White Scar is our best ever white spray paint. It applies smoothly and with absolutely no fuss, giving you the perfect foundation for painting dazzling colours – and it works particularly well with our most vibrant new Contrast paints. The icon of Sigvald the Magnificent and the Decadent Host, his Warriors of Chaos army in Total War: Warhammer III.

The “real” Contrast colours. These are the ones that do exactly what Contrast promises – pulling away from the edges and gathering in the recesses while still tinting the surface, creating mid-tone, shading and some basic highlights with one application. This was the majority of the range and comprises all colours I didn’t mention in the first two categories. Emma’s Tzaangors have a vibrant, old-school colour scheme that uses Contrast for almost everything, from their pastel skin to their earthy horns – she’s even used layers of Contrast paint to give a metallic look to their golden weapons and trim. Harlequins: The Harlequins are a faction of Eldar known for their acrobatic combat style and flamboyant, colourful costumes. Sigvald Burgundy could be a striking base color for their armor, which could then be accented with brighter colours to create a vibrant, eye-catching army.

Lizzie: This is an incredibly versatile new shade of brown. It’s perfect for leather and cloth. This is fantastic for adding some extra grime to your Nurgle miniatures too. Thousand Sons: The Thousand Sons are a Chaos Space Marine faction that focuses on psychic abilities and sorcery. They are often depicted wearing ornate, Egyptian-inspired armor in shades of blue and gold. Painting their armor in a deep burgundy instead of blue could be a unique twist on their traditional color scheme.

Kroxigor Scales or Luxion Purple are perfect for painting the warp-touched daemons of Tzeentch in all their chromatic splendour, while Imperial Fist Yellow or Striking Scorpion Green will give the Scions of the Flame access to a kaleidoscopic inferno – let your imagination run wild! The “thin” colours, namely Aethermatic Blue, Apothecary White, Gryph-Charger Grey, Plaguebearer Flesh, and Space Wolves Grey. These paints have more of a wash-like consistency and shade mainly the recesses. The new Pylar Glacier and Dreadful Visage also fall in this category. James created a spectacular feathered rainbow on his Lord of Change by thinning his Contrast paints right down to a glaze consistency with Contrast Medium . Then he applied lots of thin layers onto his Greater Daemon, slightly overlapping layers of Celestium Blue , Dreadful Visage , Sigvald Burgundy , Karandras Green , and more to retain vibrant paint colours while building up a smooth, ‘wet blend’ gradient between each hue. Daniel VeressThe personification of beauty on the outside, but rot within, the Geld-Prince rides at the head of an army of utterly devoted followers who would give their lives for him without a second thought. His elite bodyguard bear mirrored shields so that Sigvald might bask in his own divine glory, and dozens of exotic females attend to his every whim and desire. The Citadel Colour experts have spent many months researching, developing, testing – and painting! – with our Shade range to find out how to make them even better than they already are. The result of all of this hard work is a total reformulation of all of the Shade paints you know and love – and the creation of seven new Shades. A vivid alternative to Aethermatic Blue, this acts as a partner to Pylar Glacier, giving you even more choices in the blue range of the spectrum.
