These products are made to be tough, so removing them will not be the easiest thing to do, especially if you leave it until it hardens thoroughly. This is why you remove anything in the vicinity of your workspace you do not want glue to get on. In many cases that include plastic repairs, you need to find a compatible adhesive. You should be able to find out what plastic and adhesive works best together by reading the product label.

For best results ensure the bodywork or part you are working on and the Putty are at room temperature before you start the repair (approx 17°C to 21°C).
