They have self-making beds, a game room, vines to swing on. They even have a vegetable vaporizer that is a great way to eat your vegetables without having to taste them. These machines can discern whether or not you are hungry and feed you accordingly. These stories have been made into a play as well. The play has the treehouse at 52 stories high. It happens to be Andy’s birthday, but Terry forgot. Another character has disappeared, and Terry’s partner, Jill, has fallen into a deep sleep. Andy and Terry must set off on an adventure beyond the Treehouse. They face some very challenging obstacles along the way. There is a hungry caterpillar and a kingdom of angry vegetables. There is even a voyage of ninja snails that has been going on for 100 years. These books can teach your children many lessons in listening, reading, and so much more. They can be used to teach children to evaluate key ideas from the area and come to conclusions. The books are organized into chapters, so you can decide how many chapters to cover per lessons.

Later, the duo began to work on their book, but Terry was too sad to concentrate. Andy then gets Terry popcorn and lemonade to cheer him up. Terry additionally got himself bubblegum. He burps a bubble which he had trap himself. Terry floats away and Andy does a golf swing which successfully saved him.

The book begins with the narrator and fictional depiction of the author, Andy Griffiths, giving an introduction to himself, his friend and illustrator Terry Denton, and their treehouse. I recently discovered the treehouse series, through a review book and via my son, Mr 8’s new interest in this series. I found the most recent book in this series, The 104- Storey Treehouse, utterly hilarious. I was keen to see how this extremely popular series originated. I selected The 13-Storey Treehouse to read for Book Bingo 2018, covering the square ,‘a funny book’. Although I wasn’t rolling around the room in fits of laughter, I did enjoy a snigger or two, courtesy of both the writing and the illustrations of the creative duo of this series.Their treehouse is awesome because it looked small from the outside but is big on the inside. There was a gorilla and a yellow canary cat with a whole army of yellow canary cats who saved Andy and Terry. They took away the gorilla to a dinosaur island. Terry painted a cat yellow like a yellow canary. When Andy and Terry began to write their book, a giant gorilla started shaking the tree yelling, “BANANA!” Then a chauffer arrives, informing Terry has won the Barky the Barking Dog drawing competition and gets to meet Barky. But squished by the giant gorilla.As the duo loses hope. 13 flying cats, lead by Silky, began fighting the gorilla. Which was successful. The canaries then lift the gorilla away. It was making a buzzing sound, kind of like a fly. Which wasn’t surprising, really, because after a while I realized that’s what it was—a fly, just an ordinary fly.

First and foremost, we should admit that this book was not written for me. It was written for kids and me not liking it really only means that I don't fall into the demographic that it was aimed at. I bought this book for my nephew's birthday, though, and I wanted to know what I was giving him after the bookstore ladies suggested it to me. Ahead of RN's Big Weekend of Books (August 28-29), we asked kids to send in their biggest questions for Andy. Here are his answers (edited for clarity and length). Imagine a tree house, it is every young boy and girl’s dream. Now imagine if you were able to live in this house with your best friend and engage in daily rounds of random fun! Their treehouse has a see through swimming pool, a lemonade fountain, a room full of pillows, a secret underground lab and many other awesome features. When Andy and Terry realise they have failed to complete a book for their cranky publisher, Mr Big Nose, the fun and distraction begins! Plenty of good hearted adventure awaits the reader when they select the all important first story in the treehouse series. It all started when I was in the extraterrestrial observation center. I was looking through the telescope trying to spot something that might give me an idea of what to write about in our next book when I came across the strangest-looking alien I’d ever seen! It was awesome because it had man-eating sharks and a shark nearly ate Terry. Terry accidently threw Andy's head in the bowling alley.
