About this deal

For those looking for a more feminine scent, the Versace Yellow Diamond Eau de Toilette is a great option. Its playful combination of pear sorbet and bergamot burst into orange blossom, freesia and mimosa notes at the heart, while the base includes a sultry amber, palo santo and musk blend. The box is purple with silver stars scattered throughout. It will have the Versace name and concentration on the front. The batch code will be on the bottom of the box and bottle. Mine is 21682P. The Dreamer starts sweet and gradually dries down to a warm woody scent. Top notes include clary sage, lavender, and mandarin. The heart (which seems to be what most people object to) is a combination of geranium, rose, and tobacco. Named after the son of Aphrodite and the Greek God of Love, Eros draws inspiration from Greek mythology. Donatella Versace proclaimed, “Eros is truly the DNA of the house of Versace.” Versace The Dreamer lasts 6 hours on the skin with moderate to light projection. In terms of performance, it leans more towards gentlemen-like as it’s never too overpowering – whether that’s a pro or con is up to you.

The Dreamer turns soft, sweeter, and floral with the drydown, but the tobacco notes remain prominent. As for the middle, rose, geranium and carnation notes usher in a refreshingly fresh heart. The Versace Dreamer smell begins sweet but gradually hits a masculine woody smell. Reformulated many times, the dreamer of today’s scent profile consists of Juniper, Tarragon, and Artemisia. Iris, Lily, and Flax make up the heart. The box comes in midnight blue, with a spattering of stars to remind you of the galaxy. Depending on the formula, you may see 83 or 79 on the box.

The notes of a fragrance are the individual scents that make up the anatomy of the perfume. Top notes of this cologne, which are what you sense when you first spray it, include: Juniper, Lilly and Wildflowers. The middle notes which last throughout most of the scent’s life are iris and linen. Then after the fragrance dies down you are left with the base notes: Tobacco, Amber and Tarragon. Juniper is actually an original favoring for Gin and through the Dutch word for Juniper is how Gin got it’s name. Juniper is a piney scent and is why people would classify The Dreamer as a woodsy fragrance but, I don’t think it is with wildflowers, amber and tobacco. Tarragon is a very pungent and sweet spice used in soda within Russia giving this fragrance it’s originality. In this Versace Dreamer review, you will discover why this fragrance elicits such divergent views. Read on to learn more about the cologne’s fragrance notes, presentation, and who is most likely to wear it. The Story Behind Versace the Dreamer EDT Cologne With its pleasant scent, you can’t tell whether you’re at an exotic spice bazaar or your favorite Italian bakery thanks to its dry, spicy aroma that is wonderfully balanced with the savor of amber and floral sweetness in the middle notes.

I find VD much too sweet and cloying, Ditto Sculpture, M7 and Opium for Men, but as the saying goes, one man's meat is another man's Persian. To each his own. Herbal florals mixed with a bitter tobacco note are the most prominent notes leading into the heart. As the wear continues, it becomes softer, easier to wear, and simply less decisive. This opening is rather intense, and you can smell the tobacco notes strongly. The opening then dries down systematically to reveal a warm, drier, woody scent featuring cedar, vetiver, and fir. Let’s take a look at the original to compare the changes: Versace Dreamer Cologne Review – Original Edition The Dreamer makes a lasting impression but doesn’t overpower room. Lasting around 6 hours on an average day, the fragrance’s performance is excellent. Sillage and Longevity

Due to several reformulations, current versions might not smell exactly like the original formula. Recent top notes include: A dominant tobacco note leads after the first few minutes. It was always present but took a few minutes to really come through. Rather than your typical smooth tobacco, it’s a bit untamed, which makes it quite attention-grabbing. The Dreamer was released in 1996 by World famous fashion icon Gianni Versace. Jean-Pierre Bethouart is the perfumery behind it. This was the last fragrance Gianni Versace took part in before he was shot to death in cold blood. A very horrible and tragic end to such a great person. I do believe he is proud of this fragrance though, he should be. The Dreamer is very elegant and beautiful, which are not words to describe a man’s cologne. If you shy away from compliment and don’t want any attention from the ladies then this isn’t for you. An eau fraiche is a cologne with a fragrance concentration of 1-3%, the lowest available in the perfume world. Don’t be fooled; this doesn’t mean Versace Eau Fraiche is bad value for money. There are benefits to this type of scent.
