About this deal

When you choose FootJoy golf shoes, you're selecting footwear that combines innovative technology, superior craftsmanship, and a rich heritage in the golf industry. Whether you're a seasoned golfer or just starting your golfing journey, FootJoy offers many options to suit your style and preferences. ChromoSkin leather offers outstanding waterproof durability. FootJoy warrants this golf shoe will be 100% waterproof in normal use for one year (EU Warranty). Some golfers prefer a snug fit all over. However, you shouldn’t ever have to squeeze your foot into a golf shoe, and nor should it feel overly loose. FootJoy, as they always do, sought the opinion of tour players and amateurs alike to ensure they built on the success of the Tour-S in delivering excellence across every performance criteria. When receiving these shoes, I was told by FootJoy that 2020 will see them unveil their best ever shoe lineup. After testing the first model in that shoe lineup, I have to say they've started very well.

Spiked shoes were considered the “Classic” or “Traditional” option as many of them come in the timeless brogue design that you’d imagine golfers wearing in every decade. The Tour X Golf Shoe from Footjoy features a 100% waterproof design, maximum stability, maximum support and maximum comfort. A great shoe designed keep your feet dry and comfortable for extended periods of time. FootJoy have achieved this kind of outstanding stability through 9 launch pods on the outsole - four on the heel and five on the main part of the foot. These launch pods provide a serious amount of surface coverage for both shoes - especially in the heel where the launch pods protrude out from the shoe to provide that extra width.

The main design feature of the Tour X is the FJ powerstrap. First seen in 2018's Tour-S, FJ has updated it slightly for 2020. Men's spikeless golf shoes from FootJoy provide the perfect blend of versatility and comfort. The FootJoy Flex golf shoes feature lightweight construction, cushioned midsole, and Versa-Trax outsole for optimal traction on and off the course. Whether you prefer a casual or athletic look, FootJoy spikeless shoes offer style and performance at every step. Golfers can choose from a great range of both spiked golf shoes and spikeless golf shoes to maximise their performance on the golf course while also being able to experience added features such as waterproof protection, lightweight constructions, incredible comfort and stylish designs. Golf shoes As well as stability, FootJoy have succeeded in producing a shoe that is far more comfortable than its predecessor. If the shoe uppers are made from a mesh material, soak them in the sink with a squirt of liquid dish soap or laundry detergent and warm water. Dip a soft cloth or soft-bristled cleaning brush in the soapy water. Scrub the mesh to remove dirt, dust and residue. Blot or dab at the mesh with a cold water-dampened cloth to remove soap residue. Allow the golf shoes to air dry. Do not place the shoes directly in the sun, but rather allow them to air-dry in a shaded area or indoors.

The primary reason golfers opt for spiked shoes is for extra stability in wetter conditions, with most modern spiked golf shoes using a softer, plastic material over metal spikes since most golf courses have outlawed them. Nevertheless, unless you regularly play in wet weather, most spikeless models offer excellent grip and stability due to brands investing heavily in their technology to produce hybrid shoes that offer the best of both worlds. Inspired by our vast network of Tour players, the all new Tour X delivers a total Max Feel, featuring PowerStrap and LaunchPod technologies for Tour-validated Stability, Comfort and Control. Tour X is the latest best-in-class innovation powered stability shoe from FJ. Designed for players who unleash the fury - Tour X works to redirect and funnel their power by ensuring balance and a stable foundation throughout the swing.Another consideration is the durability, with spiked shoes generally being more durable due to the spikes being replaceable once they’ve worn down. On the other hand, spikeless shoes will inevitably wear down the more you wear them and you don’t have the luxury of replacing the spikes to regain traction on the course. Specifically, the Tour X now features the same supersoft and waterproof ChromoSkin leather found in the DNAs, as well as the 3D Foam Collar and Tongue. Whether you’re playing 9 or 18 holes, you’re going to be on your feet and doing a considerable amount of walking, therefore comfort is an important consideration when choosing a pair of golf shoes. When choosing spikeless golf shoes, consider factors such as flexibility, comfort, and the material of the soles, uppers, and lining. Different cleaning techniques are required for FootJoy golf shoes, depending on the upper material of the shoe. If you are cleaning leather golf shoes or synthetic golf shoes, remove dirt and residue using FootJoy shoe cleaner or mild soap and water. Allow to air dry at room temperature away from direct sunlight, do not dry your shoes using a blow-dryer or by putting them on any external heat source. Excessive heat can damage both the uppers and the outsoles. If the leather golf shoes are white, apply FootJoy white cleaner to remove unwanted scuff marks. This will also condition the leather. If the shoes are a dark colour, use a combination of FootJoy shoe cleaner and an applicable colour shoe creme to maintain the look and conditioning of the full grain or calfskin leather. Given the claims from FootJoy, the first thing to look at here is the stability of the Tour X, which I have to say was brilliant. The new powerplate outsole gave me an extremely solid base on which to make every golf swing. Whether this was on a tee, a wet fairway or in a bunker, the Tour X shoes performed. I didn't slip once during my testing, which seems like a given but trust me, it's not.

Tour X utilizes an OrthoLite Fit-Bed® to ensure all-day underfoot comfort. OrthoLite does not take a set, so the cushioning will remain the same for the life of the shoe. The Laser Plus Last offers a full rounded toe character, standard fit across forefoot and instep, with a slightly narrow heel. To do this, they’ve taken the best qualities from FootJoy’s top performing DNA and Fury lines and infused them together with the stability of the Tour-S. But it didn’t take long for my opinion to change once the shoes were on my feet. They are far better looking from a standing perspective and they can’t be faulted in the comfort department. Leading Golf Shoe brands: One of my favourite features was the Tour-Spec stretch tongue. This in English means that the tongue of the Tour X is split into two parts, joined by some elastic in the centre. This gives you the ability to manipulate the tongue exactly where you want it underneath the laces for maximum comfort on the bridge of your foot. Where spikeless shoes shine compared to spiked models is for their versatility. You can wear them to drive to the course, walk to the green, and to the clubhouse after your game, whereas with spiked shoes you will have to change them once you get on the course.
