There is definitely a tcp / germoline / deep-heat muscle relaxant cream vibe going on. It's kind of like you sprayed perfume over some antiseptic cream. I heard this was available where I live in Canada (The Bay), so of course I had to rush out to try it.

It lasts forever which is a plus. Umm- the summer heat is def not ideal for this. So I will be trying it again if we ever have a another fall/winter that gets chilly. Apocalyptic fire tornadoes make me doubtful. What to do with all our cool weather scents?! 🙁 this has got to be one of the most difficult fragrances to describe.... like i don't think my words will be able to do it justice. on initial application this is def a bit medicinal as others have said, but not in a bad way, kind of in a sexy way ?? if cough syrup was in costume as a peach bellini perhaps ??? and then it dries down to literally bubblegum. bubblegum with the smallest hint of sharpness from the rhubarb leaf i assume. it's so deliciously sweet but also really fresh, and also feminine (vanilla, pear) but also masculine (coumarin, amberwood?) all at the same time. it's very hard for me to make out individual notes but that's what i'd guess is making it smell this way. i am perplexed yet delighted not be liable for any direct, indirect or consequential loss or damage arising under these terms and It gives me a magical scent, a perfume that evokes a wild but calm nature, the perfect signature fragrance for the elves of the Lothlórien forest, a strange gourmand for those of us who have tried rhubarb-based pastries. Anyway, strongly attracted by this stunner of a bottle and after trying Eau Sensuelle a few times in the store I finally could carry an Aura bottle home (even if a flanker) knowing I'd be at least able to wear it, and I'm so happy!

Aura MUGLER is a unique Ambery Floral Carnal fragrance with instinctive notes that vibrate and pulsate. It fuses floral freshness and feline sensuality. I apply it generously (I can't help it!) and on my skin it has good projection and lasts more than 12 hours, delighting me throughout the day. The only people I'd say could blindbuy this were people who get on with complicated compositions like OG Alien. I could definitely see this smelling drastically different based on body chemistry. I think that's why so many people have strong opinions. It's a very bright and cheerful perfume, in my opinion. I'm not usually a fan but someone with a caramel-esque perfume was standing close to me on the commute to work and I thought the warmth of burnt caramel would make a great addition to the Aura if the wearer wants to go in a more gourmand direction. There's a faint smell of wet grass, but nothing disgusting. I see how the heat and humidity really helps the fragrance to shine! I'd recommend this to people of all ages who love something sugary and provocative that has a certain level of power to it. You CANNOT walk into a room and shrink with this on - you'll either seem insincere of coy - because this was made for you to stand out and have sensuelle eyes from the get go. It truly is quite rare in how it is so well blended. The animalic accord is fairly hidden behind all powder and white florals but it's there... laying like a leopard. Basking in its own loveliness.

The composition is not overly complex. A note of creamy, milky gardenia has replaced the zesty orange blossom from the original. Smooth sandalwood, foody cinnamon and white musk shine through in the drydown. There's a hint of minty-green freshness throughout this composition, which smells slightly reminiscent of organic toothpaste. Aura sensuelle I would recommend for those who like the original but find it too much. I will be really enjoying this flanker.I'm quite surprised at how much I like it, though I think I underestimate just how sugary my own personality is. Though very present all throughout the day, to me it doesn't really have a perfum-y vibe, but is more like a heavily scented summer lotion (without being overbearing though).

Found it, sprayed my right forearm, and Aura Mugler is a more Minty and Powdery version of Joop for men! The original Aura EDP is unique, quirky and often loud. I enjoyed smelling the original Aura, however, I couldn't wear it for long periods. Aura Eau de Parfum Sensuelle is perfectly balanced to my nose and is my favourite Aura flanker to date. An hour or two later, the vanilla, wood and coumarin notes begin to shine, which I much prefer. Making it much more wearable, warmer and enjoyable. I like to spray on skin and clothes to see how it performs. The sharpness and pine lives a lot longer on clothes.

Now, musk and sandalwood is my all time favorite combination, I absolutely adore it, and reading that this had this combo in it made me so hopeful... Because of this creamy texture and intense sweetness, I don't recognise it as rhubarb like in Hermès Rhubarbe Ecarlate, which is much more juicy, more sparkling and natural-smelling. In fact, the creamy fruitiness combined with the tropical, ripe greenness briefly evokes green banana in my head. Aura opens on my skin with an intensely sweet-tart fruity accord, along with a tropical green note. The vanilla also starts to manifest from the very beginning, providing an opaque, creamy texture to the fruity accord.

Then the dry down... It's headachey, and green. The green I get is pine which is unfortunate because I am really not a pine lover. My grandad used to wear Coty - Aspen and this reminds me so much of him and their house. Which isn't a bad memory, but I much preferred his old spice i was seriously expecting to hate this, even as a mugler stan. this one seems extra controversial. on paper, aura truly doesn't look like something i would normally go for (not much of a green fragrance enjoyer) but omfg. OMFG was i wrong This perfume is exuberant, fresh, strong, unapologetic, and, dare I say, a bit of a hodge-podge in the best possible taste.

After about 8 hours, the vanilla finally stops screaming, and surprisingly, the tropical green note survives it. Now, Aura is mainly a soft, ripe tropical fruitiness mixed with a delicate green camphor nuance and merest earthy, dust-like astringency, like a humid tropical jungle in a fairy tale, without any deadly, hostile creatures. This far dry down reminds me of Zoologist Bat, but Aura at this stage feels much gentler and easier to appreciate, whimsical yet adorable as well. And that's what makes this perfume so interesting and exciting to me. I too want to be this mysterious being that people will seek over, and think about every now and then until they find me. Aura Sensuelle is from now on the "hide and seek magical fairy" in my book. Once you smell it, you will want to know where it's from and it will haunt you. Or, you know, it could also be "the durian of perfumes" ;D I couldn't stand its intensity at first, but once I smelled it, it got me hooked :) Longevity is moderate. The dry down lasts about 7-8 hours. I find the sandalwood remains on my clothes much longer. I prefer this over the original but... it must be said that the feelings they evoke are very different. I adore Aura's mild, tropical-jungle-esque far dry down, which matches the campaign perfectly. How I wish Aura would smell like this part all along! Unfortunately, the first two thirds of Aura's development on my skin is dominated by the commercial fruity vanilla, and fails to leave a strong impression like how Angel, Alien and Womanity did to me.
