In some instances if paper is covered in food residue it is not able to be recycled. The same applies for tin foil. Also some countries, or people may not recycle. This is the type of air fryer I have and therefore the one you will see in all of my recipes. I have a Ninja 7-in-1 multicooker which has a basket that you lift in and out of the machine. It works very similar to standard basket air fryers.

If you are cooking frozen chips you do not need to add any oil as these already contain oil and could make the chips soggy. If using the 2 in1 feature (bowl + tray) after the food is cooked on the tray, cook the chips for a further 2-5 minutes after you've removed the tray to make them crispier. How much oil do I need to add for frozen chips? Usually if you cook the food for a few more minutes, you should be able to achieve the perfect level of crispness.

Flat silicone liners can be used in basket air fryers. However they tend to be more widely used in the oven style air fryers. They are just a flat silicone sheet that usually has holes in for ventilation. With a dosing spoon of oil of your choice, you'll get light and crispy fries. Depending on your taste, you can add 1 extra spoon of oil for even more delicacy! What is the best way of cooking chips and to avoid soggy chips? These are the most widely used silicone liners. As their name suggests, the silicone forms a wall which fits inside the basket. Some have holes in them, either on the walls or the base to allow for better air circulation while others don’t. Obviously the tin foil will only have holes if you make them yourself. Advantages of using an air fryer liner
