About this deal

Other standout features? A sturdy belt, detailed workout stats to help you keep tabs on your progress, and all manner of classes (there’s everything from HIIT to yoga) when you don’t fancy running. Plus, you can create your own running routes anywhere in the world thanks to clever Google maps integration. In terms of looks, the Omega Z really stands out. Boasting a sleek design with subtle accents, and showcasing a practical elegance that will seamlessly complement just about any room this treadmill will fit neatly into most any setting. It really does look quite unique which is something of an accomplishment as lets face it, a lot of treadmills simply look the same! The construction, unsurprisingly, feels robust and this model instils confidence in its durability from the first time you step up onto it. Well, you shouldn’t worry about the size of this beast because it can comfortably fit in your confined space. Features Horizon Fitness is one of the most venerable of cardio fitness brands out there. A pioneering brand, dedicated to helping individuals of all fitness levels move towards a healthier and more active lifestyle. With a reputation for innovation and an unwavering commitment to producing high-quality products, Horizon Fitness has earned a trusted reputation within the fitness industry. Their product range encompasses an array of top-tier cardio machines that are designed to elevate workout experiences and enable users to reach their fitness goals. Whether you’re a seasoned fitness enthusiast or a novice just starting out, their product catalogue has something for you so we took a look at the Horizon Omega Z model to see what one of their mid-range models looks like up close. Here’s what we found… Finally, there is a tablet holder and a little Bluetooth button. When this is pressed (the treadmill must be in standby mode), it activates the Bluetooth chip in the console and allows the treadmill to be paired with a compatible phone or tablet. The tablet holder can hold a phone or a tablet and there are a few apps that are compatible with DKN machines such as Kinomap which provides rolling videos and controls the incline of the machine to match the gradient of the terrain in the footage.

It’s also an impressive 52cm wide (one of the widest at this price point), meaning that larger athletes need not worry at all. Everyone should feel comfortable using the EzRun. Use the 25 programs for more variety in your workouts, and as you get fitter, you can move onto the more challenging settings to keep yourself challenged and motivated. The second part is where we objectively compare hard facts which are directly comparable – so, the top speed, maximum user weight, incline percentage, motor power and running area are all hard facts. We compare treadmills against one another in their relevant price category.Treadmills eliminate some of the more common excuses: weather and time,’ says Nike Run Coach Justin Reid-Simms. ‘It’s always the perfect conditions for a run when you’re controlling your indoor environment – and if you’re short on time, the five to 10 minutes you gain from not having to prep to leave the house can be the difference between a workout or no workout.’ Like most home-use treadmills, the EnduRun requires assembly. Thankfully, like other DKN treadmills, the setup is simple. The hardest part comes before starting the assembly: Getting the boxed machine with a weight of 135kg to the right place! This weight of the box is the first clue that this is a serious treadmill! After that, the assembly is simple and is complete in just four steps. The diagrams in the manual are nice and clear and while it’s certainly a two person job, there’s nothing in the slightest bit complicated about the build so we had everything ready to go in just under 30 minutes. If you’re reading this, then you’re likely at the stage where you’re researching the best treadmill you can get for your budget. The range of workouts can be enlarged by linking the treadmill to the Kinomap app. This software allows you to watch runners’ scenic videos from around the world while you run, as well as following workouts where the app can directly control the EnduRun. It also has good quality built in speakers, an AUX port for device connectivity and Bluetooth. Finally, you get a tablet holder and two water bottle holders (in case you get really thirsty, I guess…)

This heavy-duty machine offers you an intense workout experience, and it is all in the incline and speed levels. You will enjoy an electronically-powered incline range of between 0 and 12%. With this, you can adjust the intensity you need to jog, run, or walk. The 12% incline lets you ramp an elevation of up to 7 degrees for you to target your muscles and boost your cardio strength. We stated that this machine comes with a not-so-large size, which means you can easily include it in your small apartment or studio. This unit measures 183 (h) by 85 (w) by 143 (l) cm. It comes in heavier than most treadmills, weighing 84 Kg. That heavyweight means that the treadmill can support up to 130kgs of user weight. So, it’s a plus. I wouldn’t recommend the EzRun for any experienced athletes. It simply doesn’t challenge you enough through the inclines and, as well-built as it is for a folding treadmill, it is still a folding treadmill. Advanced runners would be better served with a stationary model. So how does this machine fare among the competition at this price point? If you’re making detailed comparisons of the spec sheets, you may notice that the EcoRun has a motor power output figure of 1.5 HP continuous duty, which isn’t the highest we’ve seen among budget treadmills. Therefore, it’s worth highlighting that occasionally motor power output figures of some manufacturers are somewhat ‘optimistic’! However, in this instance, having had the motor cover off and inspected more closely, we can confirm that the EcoRun easily has the largest (ie. most powerful) motor of any budget treadmill we’ve come across to date! The sheer power of the motor becomes apparent when the machine is running: it’s very quiet relative to similarly priced (and much higher priced) treadmills 🙂There’s no touchscreen, but the bright display is easy to read and shows distance, time, speed and calorie burn for each workout. The machine also has a built-in mount to fit your phone or iPad so you can distract yourself with Netflix as you get your sweat on. Or, if you fancy an interactive experience and you have a foot pod, you can connect with running apps like Strava or Zwift. You will not need to worry about space if you have this machine. It also has a DKN Bluetooth chip feature that allows you to pair the machine with compatible devices. For that is what the EnduRun is. The beefy 2.5CHP (which stands for continuous horsepower; the treadmill can handle a 4.5HP peak) motor provides enough power to run smoothly for long periods even in the upper ranges of the machine’s 0.5-22km/h speed range. I’ve done progression runs and interval workouts that have involved long periods running in the high teens, and the machine has performed just as well as any gym treadmill I’ve used for similar work. Unfolding and folding the treadmill is easy and anyone can do it, so there is no need to be put off by the weight of the overall unit and the one-touch mechanical and motorised incline works effectively.

Find out more about this popular training app with our review and guide to getting started with Zwift Running. Reebok has opted to fit a sizeable 2.0 horsepower motor that can take the belt up to a maximum speed of 18kph (11mph) which is an upgrade on the original Jet 100 (which maxed out at 10mph) and that should be enough for most users unless you happen to be an already a seasoned runner that likes to compete. Otherwise, this is plenty enough speed to make normal humans break a sweat and the motor makes pretty light work of anything that’s asked of it, even when set to the maximum incline level. The motor is as quiet in operation as there’s a right to expect and it really doesn’t seem to strain at all which is an encouraging sign in terms of longevity. There are cheap treadmills, there are expensive ones, and there are those that come with a hefty price tag, yet still feel very reasonably priced. Do you love premium quality fitness equipment and you are not afraid of spending a few hundred pounds for one? If you are, you should consider the DKN EzRun Treadmill. This machine comes from a recognized brand, DKN, and comes with multiple functions to give you a good workout session. While it might seem like a top-level workout machine, it offers you friendly user experience. Let’s explore it more to learn about its functionality and delivery.Other features include a Bluetooth Smart heart rate wireless receiver (worked flawlessly during our test), dual water bottle holders, tablet holder, and last but definitely not least, levelling feet that enable you to get the treadmill set up dead flat – which makes a difference! The EzRun treadmill has a bluetooth receiver for connecting to a compatible smart device and and is comptible with a few different 3rd party apps, including KinoMap, Vescape, i-Console+ and some other lesser known apps. One of the best things about this folding treadmill is that it comes ready-assembled – just unbox, plug in and get running. Unlike some of the bulkier models we tested, it can also be stored completely flat, so it’s an ideal choice if you don’t want a cardio machine cluttering up your living room. All in all, it gives a lot for a little, making it one of my favourite folding treadmills in today’s market. Let’s give it the full lowdown in our DKN EzRun Treadmill review. DKN EzRun Treadmill Specs A reason to choose this model is the full feature set. You can choose to use the console, or an app via your own phone or tablet.

It has a powerful electric continuous duty motor of 1.75 and has a speed from 1 to 20 km/h as per requirement with an inclination up to 12 percent.

We are generally not a fan of folding treadmills but the EzRun strikes a good balance between having the convenience of a folding treadmill and the functionality and the stability of a non-folding treadmill. Secondly, they are often neither perfectly convenient nor perfectly good treadmills – they sit somewhere in the middle on both camps. As we will see, this isn’t the case with the EzRun. It manages to strike a good balance between functional utility and convenient storage. Today, we’re very much looking at one of the latter – the DKN EzRun Treadmill, aimed squarely at the higher end of the market, but nevertheless allowing you change from a grand.
