About this deal

It’s a beautifully heartbreaking record that taught me a lot about music. Having grown up listening to a lot of extreme stuff like Slayer and Pantera, to hear something so gentle but so intense opened my eyes to the fact that music doesn’t have to be brutal to take you somewhere heavy. I discovered the album through my lovely friend Craig B from Aereogramme. He used to make me these mixtapes. As a 17, 18 year-old kid, this was a world of music that I didn’t know existed, and I can never thank him enough for introducing me to it. 20 Led Zeppelin –‘Houses Of The Holy’ Though ambitious, paying off all your debt is a worthy goal. The sooner you live without debt, the easier it becomes to invest in your future. 87. Do a 30-day no-spend challenge It’s a close call between this and ‘Drums And Wires’ for our agreed favourite XTC effort, but this swings it for the Todd Rundgren factor (he produced it). It was XTC’s ninth album, and third since becoming a full time studio band following lead singer Andy Partridge’s breakdown. It’s a very summery album, and draws on XTC’s western country routes. Lyrically it opens with young love and its humble beginnings and develops towards marriage followed by the struggles and paranoia of a mid-life crisis. Delve into one of the best bands in alt-pop history.” 80 Cat Stevens –‘Teaser And The Firecat’ The world always needs more good intentions. Fundraising for charity is a way to put your skills to work to help others. 86. Pay off all your debt

It’s a really stunning and complete record that’s heavily psychedelic but still grounded by a pop vibe. The themes are weird and wonderful, and Gruff Rhys sings his beguiling lyrics in a voice that could only be his. I love how it’s so impeccably recorded but still maintains a real spontaneity and playfulness, especially in the unusual guitar sounds and arrangements. Songs like ‘Hometown Unicorn’ are just on the right side of pop, tempered by a nice dose of weirdness: “I was lost, lost on the bypass road / Could be worse, I could be turned to toad…” 54 Kraftwerk –‘Trans-Europe Express’ Challenge yourself to cook a meal with ingredients directly from your local farmer’s market. Taking the time to support local farmers and vendors is an important way to connect with your food. 129. Plant a herb garden Bungee jumping is the thrill of a lifetime. Test your body’s limits with a literal “leap” of faith! 2. Get a tattoo Vocoders generally have a rough time, but if you want to listen to it done well you need to hear this album. Melodic, spacey wonderment from a band I don’t really know a lot about other than they know how to handle synths. ‘Sun Lips’ uses one of the coolest sounds you can dial up on a keyboard, a Mellotron on flute setting. ‘Forever Heavy’ has a pulse that you just can’t deny. It’s been on repeat since I stumbled upon it’ and it’s already one of my favourite albums ever. Listen to it immediately.” Dom Ganderton, Superfood 98 Queens Of The Stone Age –‘Songs For The Deaf’ Big promotions don’t come around that often. Work hard to move up in your career. 45. Start a business or side hustleA themed dinner party is a chance to step outside your culinary boundaries. Whether you invite guests to bring their own dishes or prepare the whole meal yourself, it’s sure to impress. 124. Create your own recipe For instance, what are the things you’re truly interested in and passionate about? You should have a lot of items specifically related to those things. We went hang gliding over Rio, went to Iguazu Falls, danced in the Carnival parade – we did it all.

Whether you’re hitting the town with friends or your special someone, why not dance the night away? This quintessential activity is undeniably run—even if you don’t have great rhythm. 103. Bake together

About this product

I remember going into Our Price with my mum and asking the guy for some Public Enemy; my mum wasn’t sure but when I got it home it didn’t leave my Walkman for months. I was used to the ‘60s music in my folks’ LP collection, and that was mind-expanding enough, but this felt like my music, speaking for my generation, and it blew my tiny, Scottish head.” 42 The Holy Modal Rounders – The Holy Modal Rounders Working out doesn’t have to be hard. Join a new sport or exercise class to try something new. 54. Forgive an old grudge

So many of these are people I’d like to meet, but I don’t just want to shake hands and say hi. I want to do something more memorable than that.Make at least 1 terrifying decision that will get me closer to my goals (January 2010 – Move to Thailand) Escape from your daily life by hosting a girls' or guys' weekend just for friends. Getting away from it all is sometimes just what you need to feel refreshed after endless hours of life. 102. Dance until dawn Have you ever wanted to see the world’s largest mammals? Spot Blue Whales in California or Orca Whales in Washington with a family-friendly whale watching tour. Though you’ll need to research the best time of year, this is a learning experience for everyone. 96. Shop at a holiday festival He’s the saviour of modern rap music, and this is why. His first, ‘Overly Dedicated’, is good, but ‘Section.80’ steals it. It’s just good to see someone so talented with such good songs can finally get to the masses. He really deserves it; he came from a shithole and overcame so much to make this record. When someone does that it automatically makes it more interesting. I absolutely love this record and still listen to it all the time.” 2 Jacques Dutronc –‘Jacques Dutronc’

Speaking of theme parks, cool off on a hot day at a local waterpark. Usually open in the summertime, there’s no better way to beat the heat. 94.
