Additionally, a reduction of cIAP-1 and XIAP by TP-110 contributes to the sensitization of Fas-mediated apoptosis. Taken together, the alteration of the apoptosis regulatory proteins by a proteasome inhibitor induces apoptosis in tumor cells.
