The Micro Terror has an effects loop. This lets you blend your dry and wet signals for some truly unique tones! You can use an external effects pedal in this loop to create a dramatic “swell” effect when switching between clean and distortion sounds. Or you can plug your MP3 player into the auxiliary input. That is generally the cause of "increased volume" from tube amps vs comparable solid state amps. Assuming all else is equal, watts are power and volume.

You can comfortably carry one in each hand (they have handles on top). So if you’re looking for a portable setup or to be able to grab-and-go then the Micro Terror is ideal.

Undoubtedly, size is the only thing that is small about this amp head because the job it does is truly comparable to a giant amp head. It has a great compact and rugged-looking appearance with a handle that just says, “what are you waiting for? Take me to your next gig.” The speakers then transform those amplified electric signals into a sound that you hear through your ears. What is a Combo? Each amplifier has its strengths and weaknesses but in the end, it all comes down to individual preferences and tastes. There's a lovely range to its voice. You can run it with sparkly, bright gain or clean it up and have the mid-range take aim at your solar plexus. Or, you can just crank it all up for some unruly, animal gain tones. This gain is hugely musical, as you'd expect, dynamic, rich in harmonics.

If you’re interested in the internal workings then the Micro Terror is a hybrid amp. That means it’s uses a single 12AX7 preamp tube with a class D transistor power amp. A mix of solid state affordability and reliability with tube tone. You have to pay a bit extra but it’s not a huge difference. Is it worth it? That probably depends on what you need or want. The amp takes pedals well on the front-end. It was designed to play nice with all types of effects pedals. Just add your favorite pedalboard, and away you go! While the highly affordable price of the amp head makes it a good choice for beginners who are just getting into music and want to experiment with the wide range of tones and sounds, the highly versatile range of options is something that professionals are always looking for. While it is not quite nuclear in terms of high-gain, the Terror Stamp takes gain pedals well, and super-heavy metal tones are only a well-chosen dirt box away. Indeed, used as a pedal platform, the Terror Stamp can take on all kinds of styles. There is an effects loop to the rear of the enclosure.
