Part of our strength comes from those we surround ourselves with. I strongly believe in the power of having solid, real friends. I am sure that if I hadn't practiced building a sunshine mindset, I would not have been able to be the kind of friend that I have been to the girls and others in my life. Rad and Stevens did an excellent job with the writing. My only complaint about this book is the quality. While the cover is lovely and eye catching, including the fact that this is a Christian book would be helpful to the reader. As an adult women, I find joy in the details. The paper used for this book is thin and feels rough. For a book of this type, I would expect a nicer quality, glossy finish paper. I often reread books of this type or gift them to friends who might benefit. This book doesn't feel like it would last the test of time, nor is it giftable from a physical quality standpoint. I needed that! I needed this whole book. If you are finding your way with god, needing some guidance, or maybe you’ve been a believer for a really long time, I recommend this book. I already know I’m buying a copy for my mother in law. While reading through this devotional, the focus was always on self and how God can help you be "better." Never about what we as Christians need to do so we can better serve God. They touch upon many important issues in ways that are easy to understand and are relatable. Great insight - especially for young women.

I have been a Christ follower for almost 19 years and was practically born in church almost 12 years before that. I have read many devotionals and done many Bible studies. The ones that have made the most impact on my life are the ones that called me to action. First: Thank you Zondervan Books, Tanya Rad and Raquelle Stevens for allowing me to read this book for my honest review. In The Sunshine Mind, Raquelle outlines the importance of having a “strong inner life” that comes from “knowing who you are.” Stevens finds this mindset key whenever she comes across negative comments about herself online.

About this book

Yes this book may not be for everyone it does have a target audience. For me it is what i needed and i can think of many people that can benefit from this book. I like to read these day by day so I haven’t ready the whole book yet but I do feel like I will enjoy the rest of just as much. I look forward to finishing the book! I’ve read several days of The Sunshine Mind and find it enjoyable. It’s a different kind of devotional where they are giving modern examples from their lives.
