About this deal

https://resource.razerzone.com/index.php/en/source/audio/mano-war-family/mano-war-7-1/images-111/product-images-112 I’m impressed with the Man O’ War’s sound, too. It’s not the best headset I’ve heard—not even in its division, as I think the similarly priced (and also wireless) Logitech G933 justedges it out. But you could do a lot worse. Razer ManO’War USB is attached to your PC USB port to allow you to have a great wireless experience while gaming. At times the USB is not attached perfectly and you will hear the beeping sound on your Razer ManO’War due to this problem.

So i was playing around with the EQ, trying to find a good combination, and i think i found the perfect one. I'm using USB 7.1 Krakens. Razer's 7.1 surround sound implementation is superior to a number of other solutions I've tried, particularly after you calibrate the headset using the utility in Synapse. When each channel is properly tuned for the best directionality, the ManO'War provides a surprisingly good surround sound experience for a pair of headphones. Volume and mute controls sit on the input cord, and while the dial can be sensitive, it’s nevertheless a smooth and simple method for controlling volume. PerformanceAudio quality is where the Razer ManO'War wired edition shines, and it's nice that you can get the same audio experience as the wireless variant for less. As with any other wireless charging headsets out there, the ManO’War can only work up until a certain point before they must be charged again since they operate on a battery. This battery has a surprisingly good lifetime, but regardless it does need to be powered every now and then.

Despite its appearance as a bruiser, the plastic material the ManO’War 7.1 is built with isn’t going to take a brutal beating. That said, we can’t say enough about the quality of the speakers and mic, which not only performed well, but did so despite being put through the ringer. The ManO'War features 7.1 surround sound, as opposed to the "virtual" kind featured on its less expensive headsets, and it can also be fine-tuned in the Razer Synapse software. Both earpieces are adorned with a Chroma-enabled Razer logo, and if you have a Razer keyboard and mouse you can sync all your devices to dance to the same lighting effect, which is cool. The lighting effect options include Static, Breathing, or Spectrum Cycling, where the logos cycle through every color of the rainbow. The left earpiece hides a retractable, unidirectional mic for voice communication along with a wheel for the mic volume level as well as an indicator LED and power button. The right earpiece also has a volume control wheel as well. The padding on the ManO'War consists of a small amount of foam on the headband, and a massive amount of foam around the earcups, each covered with leather-like material. The ManO'War is reasonably comfortable, but I'd like to see a lot more padding around the headband to give it more comfortable support.

Gaming headsets don’t sound as good as their price tags command, but the Razer Man O’ War is an exception. The soundstage of the 50mm drivers sounds bright, with just the right amount of bass and emphasis on crisp highs and clear mids. This mix might irk bass heads or fans of explosive games like Battlefield 1, but surprisingly, the Man O’ War’s equalizer provides a lot of potentials.
