And she's also evil. It's not right to call the ending a cliffhanger, and yet it is so deliciously evil. I am dying to know what happens next.

Things are always super dramatic around here,” Vivi tells Heather. “Epic. Everyone acts as though they just stepped out of a murder ballad.” On a bus, an old woman notices Eleven's distress and sits with her, asking where she is headed. As the bus enters Indiana, Eleven tells the woman she is going to her friends. Then Eleven clarifies by stating she's "Going home." During a podcast for Variety, The Duffers revealed that one episode of the season could be considered a standalone episode. [1] This was later revealed to be Chapter Seven and will center heavily on Eleven's story arc. [2]McGurl’s writing is vivid and captures the excitement of sea travel in the early twentieth century. On the other hand, the writer carefully explores the importance of family connections and how we should not drift apart, despite the differences we may have. Whilst the novel does end on a note of optimism, I could not help but feel a little emotional about all the ties coming together. Perhaps, for me, the story was over too soon: I had felt so invested in the past and present stories that I wanted just that little bit more to read. Madoc: I could not tear my gaze away from this messed up father-daughter relationship. He, the monster who took everything from Jude, also gave her a new life, pushed her to her fullest potential ( even while underestimating her), encouraged her fire ( even while beating her down), was all is she had. And I lived for how thoroughly this facet of this dark tapestry, this theme of moving past and beyond the power of the person who raised you, burns throughout the book.

Runaway" by Bon Jovi - Eleven gets off a bus in Chicago, to look for her other girl from Hawkins Lab. On August 31, 2016, the second season was announced through a trailer published across social media, listing the initial titles of the nine episodes. The trailer shows that this episode was originally titled "The Lost Brother". This is because, in early development, Kali Prasad was originally a male character (referred to as "Roman"). When Linnea Berthelsen was cast the character was changed to female, and the episode's title was changed to reflect this. I hate it so much I can’t stop thinking about it. I hate it enough to wanna make 100 accounts to rate it one star over & over again.

Full of twists and turns, I couldn't put it down. So many scenes are like a punch in the face, while others made me feel like I was DROWNING, scrambling for air. If you thought the first book was cruel, you-know-nothing-John-Snow. It didn't take me long to be drawn into the stories of the three sisters, Emma, Ruby & Lily in 1911 and that of Harriet and her family in present day.

This was such an interesting book to read, not only because I have a keen interest in RMS Titanic but it is also a dual-timeline book which I always enjoy. In addition to the author’s brother, her influence in writing was a memoir of Violet Jessop. Interestingly enough, my husband and I, both avid cruisers, sailed with John Maxtone-Graham, the editor and annotator of Violet’s book, many times and heard first hand about Violet. I have a treasured signed copy of Violet’s memoirs gifted by our maritime friend. As a result, McGurl’s invitation to read her newest book was one I immediately accepted and feverishly read. This five-star historical fiction is to be published on May 12, 2021, and is a must-read for historical fiction lovers. Let’s start with a love story. Or maybe it’s another horror story. It seems like the difference is mostly in where the ending comes. You've won yourself a year and a day," he told me. "But a lot can happen in a year and a day. Give me all the commands you want, but you'll never think of everything." The story starts in present day with Harriet who’s recently been widowed and is decluttering her attic as she prepares to move from her large family home to a smaller property. During the sort, she comes across her grandmothers sea trunk from when she worked on board ocean liners. Amongst the items is a photograph of three sisters. This discovery surprises Harriet as her grandmother only ever mentioned having one sister.
