About this deal

This week, we finally got a synopsis for The Battle of Jedha , teasing our first look at the holy world in its prime. Yana Ro wants to leave the Path of the Open Hand but the Mother asks for one more job before she’s able to leave. Yana accepts, thinking this is just a regular job but it is going to change her life. Dalna

Let us hurry inside to conduct these matters,” the Mother said. “There are some refreshments that should help you feel better.”

The High Republic Adventures comics by Daniel José Older feature a character named Elder Tromak. Tromak is captured by Marchion Ro because he knows where half of a rod is that can allow Marchion to control the Nameless.

Overall, STAR WARS is an incredibly expansive series, covering tons of locations across the galaxy. One thing that set PATH OF DECEIT apart was the closeness of the setting. Everything in this book feels very contained in terms of location which really lets the reader get a feel for the Path of the Open Hand’s influence. They have a strong presence on Dalna and their compound mirrors that of a real-life cult. That if you use the force for any reason you are taking from it and causing ripples throughout the galaxy that could have terrible consequences. So even if you are using the force for good, like the Jedi, you have no idea what damage that is doing somewhere else in the galaxy. The Outer Rim planet Dalna has become the focus of a Jedi investigation into a stolen Force artifact, and Zallah Macri and her Padawan, Kevmo Zink, arrive on the pastoral world to follow up on a possible connection to a Dalnan missionary group called the Path of the Open Hand. Members of the Path believe that the Force must be free and should not be used by anyone, not even the Jedi. One such believer is Marda Ro, a young woman who dreams of leaving Dalna to spread word of the Path throughout the galaxy. At a certain point, the Path of the Open Hand will splinter into the Elders of the Path and the Nihil, with the Ro family leading the Nihil, and Tromak and the other Elders leading the Elders of the Path, and the rods being divided between them. Phase I of the High Republic left audiences with many questions. Placing Phase II 150 years before Phase I means that many of those questions can’t be answered until Phase III, especially when it comes to the unresolved fates of characters like Burryaga Agaburry and Lula Talisola. I mentioned the Leveler in this book must be the same one who kills Loden. This is alluded to by the Mother saying it make takes a hundred years for it to fully grow and develop. Couple this with the fact we know it ends up with Ro’s people because that is where he goes to get it. Our compound is not far,” the Herald said, leading the way to a slightly less muddy road out of the small settlement. Elecia’s smile widened. “Oh, I certainly hope so. Come, you must be exhausted after such a long trip. We have some refreshments in our main hall.”

They believe that the Force should be free, and reaching for it is a synonym for abuse, they often send their members to other planets to recruit new followers this has made their ideology fairly known to outsiders, including the Jedi. Their ranks are filled with all kinds of species and everyone has a different task, this allows them to be independent and self-sustainable, but all of them answer to the Mother. The Mother A calm, wise, and dedicated Jedi Master. She always thinks before acting but Zallah Macri isn’t a pushover. The Soikan Jedi is stationed in Port Haileap, along with his apprentice Kevmo. Zallah Macri embodies what Jedi aspire to be. Kevmo ZinkAnd Path of Deceit highlights the hope-filled dangers of this era in a captivating story of cultish Force fanatics and charming Jedi on a twin-sunned agricultural Outer Rim planet. The Path of the Open Hand: Marda Ro, Yana Ro, The Mother aka Elicia Zeveron, The Herald aka Werth, and Kor.

The last trip Yana has agreed to go on is going to be their most dangerous yet. Their target is none other than the Graf family stronghold. For those familiar with Out of the Shadows by Justina Ireland, you will remember the Grafs from that story as being particularly brutal when it comes to protecting what’s theirs. Their fortress is nigh impenetrable, but they have a plan. This enthralling follow up to Path of Deceit finds cousins Marda and Yana Ro bound by blood but driven apart by faith. With this new knowledge gained from Marda on the Rod of Season’s potential whereabouts, coupled with what Kevmo sensed in his time amongst the Path the master and apprentice decide the time to move in had come. Before the two begin their secret investigation, Marda pays one last visit to Kevmo. There she learns of a Jedi’s pledge to an attachment-free life and couldn’t help but deliver some playful teasing his way before she departed. This was the moment when all hell broke loose. Yana has returned with vengeance on her mind. The Jedi discover more evidence leading to the Path’s involvement in thievery and Marda hears out what Yana has to say.No spoilers, but Path of Deceit may have you questioning the nature of the Force and its relationship with the Jedi and the galaxy at large.
