About this deal

Due to its excellent resistance to petroleum products, and its ability to be compounded for service over a temperature range of -30°F to +250°F (-35°C to +120°C), nitrile is the most widely used elastomer in the seal industry today. Also many military rubber specifications for fuel and oil resistant O-rings require nitrile based compounds. It should be mentioned that to obtain good resistance to low temperature, it is often necessary to sacrifice some high temperature resistance. Despite its stylish design, the O2ring is far from being a cheap gadget. To guarantee the results’ accuracy and validity, the Wellue O2 ring is FDA registered and classified as a Class II medical device. It records oxygen saturation ranging from 70–99 percent and pulse rate from 30–250 BPM.

Connect your O2ring to your PC with the USB cable that came with your oximeter. The O2 Insight Pro window should say "Device connected" in the bottom right corner. Viatom's software cannot connect via Bluetooth. You must use the proprietary USB cable that came with your oximeter. Records of oxygen drops, average oxygen levels, and heart rate provide oxygen scores and trends over time. Comfort and ergonomics are good. The ring feels solid and well-engineered. I really like the fact that you’ve got onboard storage and you don’t have to fire up the app, or even press any buttons – you literally just put the ring on and you’re ready to go. Battery life is OK but not stellar. What would have been awesome if wireless charging, but I’m guessing this would have added to the weigh and bulk. Your CPAP can work fine and you can still drop to hypoxic levels in your sleep. this can be used to determine if you should talk with your pulmonologist about an oxygen concentrator.

As the UK’s leading supplier of O Rings, we recognize the complexity of specific applications and understand the language of engineering. As the experts we can also offer a range of other specialist products that include: Wellue offers a free app for iOS and Android smartphones. The O2Ring itself has a built-in memory that can store up to 4 sessions or 40 hours of data. Each session ends when the ring is taken off. When the app is launched, the data is transmitted to your smartphone, as long as the ring is within Bluetooth range. As a trusted supply partner to some of the world’s largest OEM manufacturing companies, M Barnwell Services are committed to providing quality products, whilst offering a first class, if not world class service.

Whether by mechanical pressure from the surrounding geometry or by pressure transmitted through the hydraulic fluid or gas, O-rings are generally made of an elastomeric material, but may be made of other materials such as PTFE or metal. Most elastomers are measured on the Shore A scale. Shore A hardness of 35 is soft; 90 is hard. Shore D gauges are recommended where the Shore A rating is greater than 90. Carbon dioxide often presents an issue for many types of o-rings, as softer materials have a tendency to absorb the gas over time and swell up. This can lead to an unreliable seal in the short term, and over time the CO2 will actually cause the o-ring to start to break down from within.A boss is a cylindrical projection on a casting or forging. The end of that projection is machined to provide a flat, smooth surface for sealing. O-rings with smaller cross sections are squeezed by a higher percentage to overcome the relatively higher groove dimension tolerances. Most elastomers are either resistant to deterioration from exposure to petroleum based lubricants or oxygen. Neoprene is unusual in having limited resistance to both. This, combined with a broad temperature range and moderate cost, accounts for its desirability in many seal applications for refrigerants like Freon® and ammonia. It’s really helpful to use this gadget right after the therapy begins. With the additional information, the user may understand his/her improvement more clearly, or know the need of adjusting the treatment.

O-Ring - Who Invented the O-Ring?". Inventors.about.com. 2010-06-15. Archived from the original on 2009-03-15 . Retrieved 2011-03-25.An O-ring seals through the deformation of the seal material by installation and media pressure to close off the gap between mating components. Thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) polyether, polyester: Polyurethanes differ from classic elastomers in that they have much better mechanical properties. In particular they have a high resistance to abrasion, wear and extrusion, a high tensile strength and excellent tear resistance. Polyurethanes are generally resistant to aging and ozone, mineral oils and greases, silicone oils and greases, nonflammable hydraulic fluids HFA & HFB, water up to 122°F (50°C) and aliphatic hydrocarbons. [19] The O-ring may be used in static applications or in dynamic applications where there is relative motion between the parts and the O-ring. Dynamic examples include rotating pump shafts and hydraulic cylinder pistons. Static applications of O-rings may include fluid or gas sealing applications in which: (1) the O-ring is compressed resulting in zero clearance, (2) the O-ring material is vulcanized solid such that it is impermeable to the fluid or gas, and (3) the O-ring material is resistant to degradation by the fluid or gas. [1] The wide range of potential liquids and gases that need to be sealed has necessitated the development of a wide range of O-ring materials. [2] Spiral failure–Found on long-stroke piston seals and – to a lesser degree – on rod seals. The seal gets "hung up" at one point on its diameter (against the cylinder wall) and slides and rolls at the same time. This twists the O-ring as the sealed device is cycled and finally causes a series of deep spiral cuts (typically at a 45 degree angle) on the surface of the seal.
