But he leaves out all of the humor that is usually present in his work. You also couldn't tell this story without making it excessively violent. But compared to some of his other Titles, the level of violence is restrained. And the prose that he uses shows how much he's grown as an Author over the last couple of years. It brings to life the true horrors out there in life, of a world reliant on social networking and the need for acceptance! And also, the horrifying reality of what people will do if they aren't accepted! The ease of young people being brainwashed by an unknown person on the other end of a computer! Terrifying, and utterly chilling! Before wrapping up I do need to touch base on Lila Kerry. Her narration is impeccable. She blasted onto my radar with the double whammy narration of The Slob and Son Of Slob and let me tell you, she doesn’t disappoint! You could hear all of the prep she put into this role. I was impressed throughout with her portrayal of the young boys, a make or break thing that she passed with flying colors. I believe I read that she trained on that especially. I saw many influences in the first installment of the Morbid Curiosities collection: Stephen King, Edgar Allan Poe, The Twilight Zone, Supernatural, and Guy DeMaupassant's short story "Was It a Dream?"
