Especially with the "Eau de Parfum", probably many people would have hoped that it is simply a stronger, amplified version of the original. However, YSL as it so often happens, have composed the EdP with completely different notes, which I personally celebrate very much,- the grapefruit with the tons of cardamom just make a completely new, but great smell. In rewearing it frequently and testing my own bottle, I feel it's pretty close to the vintage 2013-2014 La Nuit, i.e. the 1st reformulation which was still very strong, but a bit fresher and brighter than the Ur version.

Now I have to write something about this too. I have the impression that there are really many people here who have no idea about fragrances. Sorry that I have to say that. But it is so. I even have the impression that here just like to jump on the train of the previous speaker on it, just to say something. You thought you knew it. But do you? The fragrance of the YSL man is just like him. True to its distinctive character, yet always revealing new facets. From the performance I am also very satisfied. An exact number of hours I have not yet herausgetestet, but minimum 8 hours are here drinne. With initially very good sillage it drifts into something about skin tight and is quite pleasant and never too much. You can or should take a few more sprays if you like to smell a little more intense. This is not a problem here, as this DNA is so unobtrusive that even with over 10 sprays you would not be negatively noticed. On clothing, the certainly still holds significantly better. Es ist mittlerweile bei einigen Häusern die Masche, die Düfte von damals zu verwässern. Logische Konsequenz, ich kaufe es nicht mehr. However, if you own a bottle of it, and wear the fragrance a lot and actively, I think you get a slightly different impression: Along those lines, I can really recommend this scent to you if you've been craving the vintage version for a long time, but it's not worth all that money to you. I find it far more similar than any clones I've tested of it, no unnecessary chocolate notes or anything.... So gesehen, kann ich euch diesen Duft wirklich empfehlen, wenn ihr schon lange nach der Vintage Version lechzt, aber es euch das viele Geld nicht wert ist. Ich finde es weit ähnlicher als sämtliche Klons die ich davon getestet habe, keine unnötige Schokoladen Noten oder sonst was... Gerade beim "Eau de Parfum", hätten sich vermutliche viele Leute erhofft, dass es einfach eine stärkere, amplifizierte Version des Originals ist. Jedoch haben YSL wie es so oft passiert, das EdP mit komplett anderen Noten komponiert, was ich persönlich sehr feiere,- die Grapefruit mit den Tonnen Kardamom machen einfach ein komplett neues, aber tolles Geruchsbild.

Always a Trendy Legend

It is not Frozen Cologne. I repeat: NOT FROZEN COLOGNE! There is indeed something in it, which reminds one again and again a little bit of it, however, I have the feeling of wearing a vintage version of La Nuit de L'Homme now more and more. Es gibt wahrscheinlich kaum einen Designer-Duft , der in den letzten Jahren so kontroverse Gefühle unter Parfumliebhabern hervorgerufen hat wie Yves Saint Laurents "La nuit de l'homme". Die einen lieben ihn und schwören auf seine verführerische Magie, die Herzen der Frauenwelt schneller schlagen zu lassen. Die anderen sehnen sich nach den glorreichen Batches der ersten Jahre und verfluchen YSL für die zahlreichen Reformulierungen, die dafür gesorgt haben, dass man bei LNDL nicht mehr wirklich weiß, ob man sich mit Wasser oder mit einem Parfüm eingesprüht hat. Und wiederum andere sind es satt, jährlich mit einem neuen Flanker aus dem Hause YSL bombardiert zu werden. Der alte La Nuit Batch, ich spreche von 2011, hat wirklich sehr wenig mit diesem Duft zu tun. Die Haltbarkeit und Erotik war damals unantastbar. Für mich persönlich der geilste Herren Duft ever. Aber da scheiden sich ja eh die Geister. Man merkt den Unterschied zu Frozen Cologne auch sehr deutlich wenn man abwechselnd an den Sprühern riecht)

Und ich finde sie haben das Ziel auch gut getroffen. Beim erneutem häufigen Tragen und Testen meines eigenen Flakons, empfinde ich es als ziemlich nahe am Vintage 2013-2014 La Nuit, also der 1. Reformulierung die noch sehr stark war, aber etwas frischer und heller als die Ur-Version. Seit der Reformulierung, haben YSL sehr viele alternative Versionen, so genannte "Flanker" vom großen berühmten La Nuit de L'Homme lanciert, namentlich:At the 1st testing in the store (so it was also in my 1st comment on the newcomer..) Das Frozen Cologne ist mein Liebling und mit diesem Bleu Electrique bekommt man mal wieder einen Duft, der etwas in die Frische-Richtung geht. Who expects something innovative will probably be disappointed.
