The manual squeezer extracts more juice compared to using a reamer, and it catches most of the seeds. However, small seeds and bits of pulp can make it through, so for perfectly smooth juice you may need a handheld mesh strainer for double straining. While this juicer is mainly sold for juicing lemon and lime halves, it can handle pretty much any citrus. (For larger oranges or grapefruits, you'll need to cut the fruits into quarters or even smaller pieces.) Chunk size is intimitely associated with your queues; a smaller chunk size means more alignment jobs that complete in a faster time. If you have a hard limit on the number of jobs, you don't want too small of a chunk size. If your short queue has a very limited runtime ceiling, you don't want too big of a chunk size. Run time for alignment will also depend on the particulars of your cluster. We launch ~5 jobs per chunk. Chunk size must be a multiple of 4. Juice from centrifugal models lasts only about 24 hours.The juice pitcher holds just over a quart, a generous size but one that might need emptying out well before the 3.2-quart pulp container gets full. You also might want to keep a dish towel on hand, as there can be some leaking and splashing involved at high speed. All the parts are dishwasher-safe and fit together simply, a nice benefit for setup and cleanup.
