About this deal

This book is for the true fan - as the title suggests this is a hand book to the Peculiar world and as such is a collection of articles and guides written to help guide the newly found Peculiar in to that world. Last but not least, i finished only yesterday but i resume to reading it again to find all points for fanfiction ect because theres so much. This book is about the history of Peculiardom that gives emphasis to its secrets and lifestyle, as authored by Miss Alma Peregrine herself. This book is very 'pick-up-able, ' and unlike with the main series, no prior context is needed to read it. I grew up on a farm on the Eastern shore of Maryland and also in a little house by the beach in Englewood, Florida where I got very tan and swam every day until I became half fish.

od svojeg hobija -skupljanja starih i čudnovatih fotografija po buvljacima- riggs je napravio dobar i, vjerujem, unosan posao. Thank you so much Goodreads and Ransom Riggs for the hardcover copy of Miss Peregrine's Museum of Wonders! This was not made like other book guides, its written out of miss p's point if view and for godsaken fucks there was so much not mentioned in the books and even more left to imagination. Some sections felt like I was forcing myself to read it for school while other sections were so enjoyable that I wish they would’ve been longer.

Ransom Riggs grew up in Florida but now makes his home in the land of peculiar children -- Los Angeles.

As other people have pointed out in their reviews, you shouldn’t read this book until after you’ve finished reading the main six books in the Miss Peregrine’s series as this one contains some spoilers for the main series. P herself ( a favorite character of mine of any story )This book is more a collectors item to the series, a textbook (quite literally) of the functions of the peculiardom so it's a little hard to rate; I will say it was a joyful and lighthearted read, though it lacked any real story and organization. Some of my other favorite parts (though they were brief) were the pages mentioning famous peculiars that include some famous people from the real world, as well as the section that describes why photographs are so important to peculiars.

Some of they entertaining others really just fleshing out aspects hinted at in the books (and film) but all if interest and creatively presented.

Covering everything from how to blend in with suspicious normals to the most popular time loops to visit as a temporal tourist, this essential volume is ideal for anyone curious about the world of Miss Peregrine: its strange history, curious practices, fascinating places, most famous (and infamous) names, and much more. Normals fear what they do not understand, and fear is a cancer that can quickly metastasize into hatred and violence (page 110). Brought me back into the wonderful and inspiring world of the peculiar through the intellectual and witty writtings of Mrs. This is a very detailed and fascinating guide into the peculiar world of the “Miss Peregrine” series that I have devoured from page to page.Written in Miss Peregrine’s inimitable style, it’s also a dramatic expansion of the universe fans have already come to love. ovom "vodiču" prethodi šest knjiga iz serijala o gđici peregrini (ja sam tamo davno neke pročitala samo prvu), a i ne trebaš biti poznavatelj priče da bi pustio maštu na pašu i guštao u izvrsnim, bizarnim i začudnim fotografijama, pitao se tko su oni, uistinu, bili, kakvim su životima živjeli i kojim su povodima nastale fotografije. sviđa mi se riggsov humor, njegova uvrnutost i maštovitost i mislim da je izvukao maksimum iz fuzije fotografije i teksta. If you have already read the series and want a fun fast read to just dip a toe back in this world and get some more fun old timey photos in the process, this is FOR YOU.

This is a book that really needs to be read in tandem with the 6 books since many references (especially to certain people) do not really achieve their true impact otherwise. This volume is the ideal primer for anyone curious about the world of Miss Peregrine: an overview of its strange history, curious practices, fascinating places, the most famous (and infamous) members of its peculiar families, and much more. I had a hard time reading about it before but, now that I have finished this book, I seem to fully understand its make-believe science. As such it does not read linearly but rather as a series of articles covering a wide range of topics. While I did learn some new things in this book, like how they classify peculiars and the history of some of the peculiar events, this was mostly repeated information. Just be careful looking at anything involving Jacob and his grandfather ahead of reading all the books bc you might read a spoiler. This book doesn’t provide too much new information and it doesn’t add on to the plot of the main series.
