About this deal
The majority of our testers found the seat cover easy to remove and machine-wash, as well as easy to spot-clean for smaller spills. Had my Maclaren for 4 years now and still use it every day, light, comfy, easy to clean got storage pockets, strong. I like that they have an elastic material in the middle that allows it to expand to fit larger items. Cant fit pram in boot so end up with baby sat in car seat of travel system for hours at a time resulting in me carrying her round and pushing car seat as the evil 2 hours approach. Additionally, a rain cover so compact it can travel with you, yet roomy enough for Harrison to still feel in charge of his own space. After trying out another stroller to replace my large travel system I was left dissatisfied until I bought the Maclaren techno xt.
Maclaren sell the Techno XT as a pushchair which can be used from birth, inclusive of a head support, shoulder straps, head and food barrier for extra safety of slipping around, and 5-point harness, however I would prefer to use from around one year old. While this stroller may have some easy-to-use features, overall, it disappointed with the second-lowest weight and folded size score, a convoluted and challenging harness and buckle, and a poor score for maneuverability. Despite its long history in the umbrella stroller world, the Maclaren Techno XT has not kept up with modern-day improvements. Since then, the Maclaren company has been big player in the design of lightweight and portable umbrella strollers. While we found adjusting the tightness of the harness a little finicky, most of our parent testers found it somewhat to very easy. One thing could be just live with it and own that you have a pushchair that survived one child, a lot of sun, and still works fine even if faded.
It clips onto the existing buggy hood and is so roomy it’s the only rain ‘bubble’ my son Finn is happy to sit in these days.when wandering around it would have to be the ability to fold down with ease… having to juggle a toddler whilst trying to fold a buggy in the pouring rain or when going on holiday is not fun.
