About this deal

This sweet and straightforward story shows that gay families and straight families and everything in between are all different kinds of normal. From their sense of humor and kind heart, to their intelligence and strength, this book is a beautiful way to express your love and admiration. He speaks in plain terms about how he doesn’t like it when kids say that being gay is gross, or when people say “that’s so gay” to describe something negatively. In the end, what matters is if a family loves and supports one another, whether there are two fathers, two mothers, one father or one mother.

If you know any young readers who enjoy these kinds of novels, or even those looking for a different reading experience, this book is a great choice. Unfortunately, as I often do, I read the author's notes: one to children and one to the adults in the child's life, and in the note to the adult readers of the book, there are offensive terms used for transgender people. Personalise your epic illustrated characters – from skin tone, to hairstyle, and extra touches like glasses, beards or a headscarf. It then documents their eventual movement toward pride in their families, simply by talking through their hurts and then arriving at the conclusion that “Love is the same. Create a "Why I love you" story with your photos and words, leading up to the final page, where you ask that magical question; "will you marry me? Dive into a world of star-cross’d lovers and jealous rivals, or get lost in a swooning Regency romance.

The author of this story did a fine thing here, creating a tale for children: gentle, informative, and non-threatening, and easy for parents to share with kiddos. Five children from different countries show us who they love and how to say 'I love you' in their own languages.Next-to-last is the page of "Additional Resources," many of which I was already aware of, so I didn't go online to look into them. I'm always amazed that so few words and so much white space can elicit such strong emotion and convey such a strong message.

Because he soon understands that is is okay to love who ever you love, because each family is different.Their children, on the other hand, bitterly rail against their parents' irresponsibility and their relaxed, laissez-faire attitude.
