The HoMedics Rechargeable Shiatsu Pillow with Heat provides targeted relief to your neck, shoulders, lumbar region, and legs. The sensation is not at all what I expected - it is very gentle, as though someone is carefully rubbing, and it changes direction every minute or so (a very strange feeling the first few times! All clothing, any fabrics (including seat covers and seat pads), rain and dust covers, tires, and PVC items.

Rechargeable and cordless, take your pillow on the go, with up to 50 minutes of use form a single charge and auto-shut off. I think this is supported by the fact the device has a auto shut off function after 15 minutes so is not made for long term relief. It seemed pre-charged and worked straight away, there is a charger which the manual says do not use and use the device at the same time. Because there's no strap to attach it to a chair, you're relying on pressure from your body to keep it in place – but apply too much pressure and the mechanism starts to struggle (you're warned against this in the product instructions).The short lead sticking out from one side is the charger, which needs pushing in to the lead (it's quite a tight fit, or seems it to me, bearing in mind I have damaged hands). It is almost impossible to sleep well on a flight but with our new HoMedics Gel Shiatsu Portable Pillow with heat, you can now make your journeys more comfortable. The level of massage is sufficient and is personally the right level of firmness, although this is a personal preference and others may find it too hard or too soft.

This portable massage pillow uses squidgy gel massage nodes for a softer, more natural feeling pressure. It can be constructed in different ways, but usually, it consists of two larger massage balls mounted on a rotating disc.
