In getting my 289 ready to go in Stella, I've painted the intake manifold and exhaust manifolds with Duplicolor High Heat paint. I have contacted Beko about this problem and the answer I have been given is that I must have used an inappropriate cleaning substance on it. It cooks foods just as well as other, much pricier Dutch ovens we’ve tested, and it’s one of the easiest ones to use and to move around the kitchen. I thought it was grease so tried to wipe it with a damp cloth and a bit of supermarket kitchen cleaner but it wouldn't come off. To make your oven doors cleanable and stop the colour chipping, I recommend using Simoniz Clear Lacquer.
