About this deal

This author has a history and a deserved reputation for writing huge complex novels which draw the reader in right to the end. Unputdownable * The Washington Post * Intrigue and menace mingle in one of the finest mysteries I've ever read. Rachel attempts to reason with Pickering, saying that murder is not a justifiable way of solving the problem.

The man was a silver-haired, silver-tongued political animal who had been anointed with the slick look of soap opera doctor, which seemed appropriate considering his talents of impersonation. The book has a lot of technical jargon that made me switch off a little in the middle as my brain felt overwhelmed by the sheer amount of it. It is 110 feet long, 60 feet wide, smoothly contoured with a crystalline patina of thermal tiles much like the space shuttle. Wailee Ming: A paleontologist with an impeccable dress habit; he is drowned early in the book by Pickering's death squad when he attempted to investigate an irregularity in the extraction hole.

No, not fun tidbits about the history of coffee but just as action filler: 'blah blah blah,' he said while he stirred his coffee. The woman's hair was light brown and fashioned in Washington's most popular style -- the "anchorwoman" -- a lush feathering, curled under at the shoulders. Pickering's intention is to help president Herney maintain the office for ulterior motivations of his own: his ultimate goal is to make NASA a division of NRO, thus rendering its operations clandestine. I don't know why these two novels didn't get the press that the Robert Langdon novels did, perhaps it's because they deal with the NSA instead of having a religious based theme that stirs up controversy.

This book is not only a rollercoaster from the start, but it is a must-read for fans of an intelligent cliffhanger. A book with all this information and many events and depth and of course beautiful narrative makes you enjoy very novel and insist that you know the events and of course accept between the topics and events are very beautiful and do not feel anything boring or ordinary. She is sent on a mission by the President of the United States, Zachary Herney, to investigate the crash site of a meteorite in the Arctic Circle and to examine the meteorite remains for possible evidence of extraterrestrial life. Dan Brown is my new must-read -- Harlan Coben Dan Brown has built a world that is rich in fascinating detail, and I could not get enough of it.Because of his ego, he does not take computer security seriously and chooses weak passwords for his computer. Accompanied by a team of experts, including the charismatic academic Michael Tolland, Rachel uncovers the unthinkable ? It's about NASA's discovery of a meteorite in the Arctic ice which seems to contain evidence of extraterrestrial life. With the Oval Office in the balance, the President dispatches White House Intelligence analyst Rachel Sexton to the Milne Ice Shelf to verify the authenticity of the find. I didn't read 140 pages because I was thrilled, I read it because it took that long for Dan Brown to get to the premise of the effing book.

After NASA's new satellite discovered a surprisingly rare object buried deep in the Arctic, the flaming space agency announced a victory that was badly needed .

In a breathtaking race against time, Harvard professor Robert Langdon must decipher a labyrinthine trail of ancient symbols if he is to defeat those responsible - the Illuminati, a secret brotherhood presumed extinct for nearly four hundred years, reborn to continue their deadly vendetta against their most hated enemy, the Catholic Church. As a stand-alone Dan Brown book this one was interesting and did hold its own against Robert Langdon and his never ending series.

It was a well thought out plot with great character development, but I wanted more out of the novel. It also comes at a time of presidential election and with the current President and his challenger Senator Sexton having different stances as to what to do with NASA. The three are brought to a ship owned by Tolland in the Atlantic Ocean near the New Jersey coastline where they will hide out for the time being. An amazing tale with enigma piled on secrets stacked on riddles -- Clive Cussler A case study in suspense. The end really saved the book in my opinion as all the ulterior motives came out that were so nuanced before you barely noticed. Rachel had learned long ago her father seldom requested her company unless he had some ulterior motive.
