Now we've been using the car a month, the seat-battles have cut right down: tiny man seems to find it comfortable - it's really padded and with good neck support: even when he's asleep, his head stays back on the chair, not slumped forward. Thanks to AxissFix Plus parents don’t need to lean over and squeeze in between the car seat and the back of the front seat. Overall I absolutely love the swivel concept behind the AxissFix Plus, and would definitely recommend to any parent who has mobility or back problems, or indeed anyone who wants to make life that little bit more straightforward!

The fact it has a top tether system, which no other swivelling seat has, is good for the added security but a faff if you're going to be regularly moving the seat between cars. The ‘fixed’ nature of the seat means that the baby would always need to be placed in and taken out of the car seat, as opposed to the car seat removed and the child remaining inside. However, the shell is so much smaller than the other seats tested and I wonder whether it will really last until my child is four years old.
