My husband is great at building things and it was definitely a pain to put together and very time consuming.

I happened to have one (included in another toy packaging from another brand- they had the courtesy to include it) and it still won't tighten the screws enough!

It is now also known fondly in our household as “baby jail” as it contains and occupies her in one place contently playing for long enough for me and Mike to watch Neighbours undisturbed.

There is plenty of activities - the monkey drops a ball down the ramps and you can 'feed' both the giraffe and pelican balls and there's also a plastic post box shape sorter. As your child grows you can open the frame up from an enclosed square to a longer frame to make more room for playing and interacting. As he moves around and through the archway he develops gross motor skills while many of the eye hand activities help refine his fine motor skills. I did actually attempt this one myself, but gave up halfway through as attempting it with the child in tow was never going to end well.
