I didn't even realize this was the first type of book like this I've read until I was reading a very very smutty pool scene ;).A war between the crime families is brewing, and if they aren’t careful, they’ll end up right in the middle of it. l beck is one of my favourite authors (the one where you pick up her book, and nothing else gets done until you've finished it). Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed this book and would highly recommend it to anyone who loves a good dark mafia romance.

I have waited for this book with absolute bated breath from the moment I first saw this author sharing it on social media. This is my first ever read and i really loved it, it was different clean and blunt some people can handle the truth. And if the pregnancy trope is a deal breaker for you she doesn't end up pregnant at the end of this book.

At several points in the book you get a hint of humanity and a taste that he could possibly be redeemable. On the other, the FMC is too weak and changes her mind at the drop of a hat which is ultra annoying. Now though that I have finished and survived the cliff I was left hanging off of I can’t wait to see what happens next.Sooooo this was my first "Best friend's dad romance" book and let me tell you it did not disappoint.
