They have three stripes on the lateral side and then 2 inches away theres the adidas logo on the heel. They have a little more give to them like the v1 without being overly spongy and are lower to the ground. I have tried the PG2 also since they were cheap, and they have surprisingly had the least amount of pain.

Although its not unstable, the cushion is pretty soft so if you don't like that feeling boost gives you maybe try it on? I could feel every jolt on my jumpers knee when I jumped so I don’t consider them or the kyrie 4 to have any sort of forefoot cushion at all.

Ive tried the Jordan Fly Lockdowns which seemed to have a great combo of cushion in the heel and forefoot, but after 15 minutes of playing in them that same area on the side of my foot seemed bruised. A broad elastic band should help secure the forefoot while the high heel matches adidas’ latest design language. I just can’t get myself to support a player with so much talent and yet, relies on such bs tactics to get fouls on a nightly basis (hooking people’s arms all the time, hopping on people’s backs, etc. While some shoe companies are making stories about astronauts and eject buttons and somehow not getting laughed for the the absolute ridiculousness of the concept and idea, Adidas has quietly created a great shoe that is almost totally devoid of tricks and gimmicks. Responsive Boost midsole cushioning means the more energy you give, the more you get and forefoot lockdown support is delivered through an integrated synthetic overlay and webbing system.I’d like the top eyelet a touch higher or further back with flaps that come over the ankle like the CLB or every Kobe.

for 2-3 years now, I've pretty much worn the shoe down to the bone, it's not really even wearable anymore lol so here is my review. Heel area is super well padded as well, and the heel tab is huge so after breaking it in and tying the laces tight I didn't have any heel-slip issues. The vol 2’s were great for me…except the forefoot boost felt a little more thinner than I like but a quick insole swap fixed that (adidas mods ftw! If you liked or loved the V2, you probably don’t need to switch unless you want a little better traction. The one thing I absolutely need adidas to do, is to separate the letters from the branding(you can put the ‘pyramid'(upright, and if you do, you don’t need the stripes right next to them), or the letters on the back, but both is just awful). I already love my Harden 2s and I want to know how it feels to play on some Kobe 1s (I have the complete set of the FTB Pack but they won’t see any playing time :-). The PG2 has worked ok, and maybe I should just give up and use them, but their has to be a shoe that’s better than these.I’ve said this recently in a video — I wish I could remember which one — but sometimes simplicity garners the best results. Anyhow the support is great, especially because the fit is so good and the shoe wraps around the foot it moves so well with the foot, bending where the foot bends, etc. The adidas Harden Vol 3 might not look like much, but its performance on the court is nearly perfect.
